This was our second Azamara cruise and it was wonderful. This was a transatlantic cruise and we encountered some rough water. Nobody’s fault. We still had a fantastic time! The ship was beautiful and very clean. The food was amazing! The entertainment was beyond fabulous, thanks I’m sure to Eric the Entertainment Director. The shows were way better on Onward than on Quest last year. The crew ...
Having been on large and river boat previous cruises we decided to opt for a medium size line and Azamara Onward fitted the bill.
We had a truly wonderful holiday and would recommend the cruise line 100%. Everything about it was perfect. We cannot praise the Staff enough - helpful, enthusiastic, friendly. All good. The catering was excellent. The entertainment was first rate. No complaints at ...
We are on the Viva after spending 2 weeks on Virgin Voyages. I have the impression that both ships are trying the same thing.
However where Virgin dares to be different Viva goes almost there and the bottles out
Take the Galley on VV it's great, really nice food made fresh to order. Viva has the same concept but limits the space & choice because it has installed a traditional too small ...
I chose this cruise because it crossed the Atlantic and Silversea is always a bit better quality than the competition. I had been on the Muse before but found it too small, so I thought had hoped this ship would be the perfect size.
What I found was this ship is still too small for me. That’s a personal preference. That said, I never found it crowded. I often wondered where all the passengers ...
Review of Silversea Silver Nova Transatlantic, 11/7-11/18/23
I typically cruise a mix of luxury lines, including Silversea (SS), sometimes with my husband or friends, sometimes solo. No line is perfect, each has pros and cons. I was happy to scout out the new Silver Nova on its Transatlantic (TA) voyage from Lisbon to NYC on the above dates, with only one port in between, (Ponta Delgada, San ...
My wife had been itching to try a transatlantic cruise; I was intrigued by the description I read about the new ship; we both liked the Lisbon to New York itinerary.
We previously sailed on Europa2 in May and enjoyed it immensely. We have also sailed on Sea Dream, Crystal, Viking Ocean and Oceania among others but never on Seabourne, Regent, or Azamara. I was expecting an upscale experience ...
This was our first Transatlantic, second time on the Apex and over 10th time on Celebrity. The ship is beautiful, huge and was crowded all the time. In that regard, we were so happy that we booked a sky suite. The retreat was our haven on all sea days, and for pre dinner drinks, and afternoon snacks. But for those in a suite, your "butler" with a new title, is now a cabin attendant with a ...
THE FOOD:
The food on this ship was, overall, the best I've seen in 30 years of cruising. Even the Oceanview (buffet) was great. Not every single item was to my liking, but there was always something delicious available to eat. We ate at Blue, Luminae, Eden and Raw on 5, and Oceanview, and every meal I had was ranked from good to great. The crab cake and beef wellington in Eden are the best ...
This was our 45th cruise overall and our 3rd time on Seabourn. Seabourn is our favorite line because of the conviviality of our fellow passengers. We were traveling with family and all of us had a good time, relaxing, enjoying an excellent level of service, attentive but not fussy. It was an Atlantic crossing, but there were enough activities on board, including some very good enrichment ...
Solo traveler...I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Partially blocked oceanview cabin was a delight...larger than cabins on newer ships. Stewards were awesome as were all staff. I was on Deck 8 midship...perfect location. Spent an overnight in Lisbon before embarkation...loved it. Lisbon is a beautiful hilly city that requires some stamina...but worth the effort.
Embarkation was a breeze. Food was ...
