We thought we would give a cruise a go for the first time and it was a huge waste of money and it was a stuff up right from the start. We didn't get the room we paid for and the day we got on board was very close to the day we were getting off. This was my 5th cruise first time with Carnival. The room was excellent, lots of space, couch, desk, table, 2 really comfortable beds. We just returned from our cruise. Fantastic in all ways. Our airplane was cancelled 2 days in a row by Air Tahiti Nui (a whole other matter) and we would not be arriving to Tahiti until 1 hour after the sailing time. Summary: the islands and waters of French Polynesia are beautiful, exotic, and clean. The towns and roads are populated by people who are friendly, charming, inviting, and helpful.
