Absolutely crap and a huge waste of money

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Pacific Explorer

We thought we would give a cruise a go for the first time and it was a huge waste of money and it was a stuff up right from the start. We didn't get the room we paid for and the day we got on board was very close to the day we were getting off. The room is no bigger than a jail cell and the bathroom you cant hardly move as it was that small. We went with a child and they hated it with a ...

This was my 5th cruise first time with Carnival. The room was excellent, lots of space, couch, desk, table, 2 really comfortable beds. The outside areas were good and unlike P&O the music, which is always 'dance/night club music' and at volumes louder than any Heavy Metal concert I've ever been to, Is easy listening and you can talk with out yelling. The entertainment is good, the shops are good, ...

Excellent Customer Service and Cruise

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Wind Spirit

We just returned from our cruise. Fantastic in all ways. Our airplane was cancelled 2 days in a row by Air Tahiti Nui (a whole other matter) and we would not be arriving to Tahiti until 1 hour after the sailing time. We called Windstar to see how to meet the ship in Moorea. They got involved with the air company even though we did not book our air through them. Customer service was amazing ...

The Voyage of “No”

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Paul Gauguin

Summary: the islands and waters of French Polynesia are beautiful, exotic, and clean. The towns and roads are populated by people who are friendly, charming, inviting, and helpful. And I highly recommend you visit them on a cruise ship (especially if you are a scuba diver)…once alternatives to Paul Gauguin become available. The M/S Paul Gauguin is a tired, clunky ship staffed by crew ranging ...

Great embarkation, good cruise, disastrous disembarkation

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Ovation of the Seas

I was really surprised at how easy embarkation was, after having stood in long lines with other cruise lines, this was really easy if you had done the electronic "pre-check in". Great idea RCCL, keep it up. The cruise itself was good, but as it was a relocation cruise, there were a lot of sea days. I have done such a cruise before (with a different cruise line), so I knew that it was very ...

GREAT!!! First time experience with Carnival Spirit 28th/9th to 06th/10th. I loved both on Sea & land experience. Carnival Spirit keeps guest onboard as happy and safe as possible & the cruise ship staff have to maintain standards for guest at sea for 24 hours of your intended stay. You must Appreciate Every single staff for there work ethic and I mean every single staff. You could not fault ...

Disappointing

I chose this cruise because it was the only option that was available for school holiday. The cabin and balcony are small for $4040. The food is average overall. The continental breakfast on Deck 9 is really a disappointment with limited choices. The main dining is ok only because of the melting chocolate cake but not great. Outdoor facilities are always occupied such as golf, basketball, ...

God were to start : We booked this holiday over a year in advance, hated it from start to finish and at one point looked at getting off the ship and getting a flight home it was that bad, no good comments at all for this ship. . The ship was massively outdated even though it was suppose to have been remodeled and was extremely dirty all over. . The room was an absolute disgrace, I dont ...

Not one of Princess Cruises' better ships

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Ruby Princess

User Avatar

Chose this ship due to the South Pacific itinerary and based on a previous cruise with Princess (Regal Princess). In comparing the two ships, I was disappointed In the Ruby Princess. The entertainment was definitely not the same caliber as with the Regal in terms of variety or quality. The Horizon buffet court had much less selection and was poorly staffed. Often multiple serving sections were ...

Boring

Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Ruby Princess

User Avatar

Staff were fantastic but this cruise was 95% retirees over the age of 70. The activities were designed to entertain the same age bracket. We are late 40s and found the activities boring and the demographics were way too old. Other than great pools, there was nothing to entertain our age bracket. The internet was terrible, too slow and lots of drop outs. The room service was great, although no ...
