Scenic Eclipse II Underwhelming for the Price

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Scenic Eclipse II

Cruise from Tahiti to Fiji March 31 to April 12 Staff was over the top best we have ever had on a cruise ship, including Housekeeping and Butler. Food was mediocre at best , canned fruit other than the basic apples and oranges. From the day we got on the ship in Tahiti they started to run out of basic items on the menu. The buffet was very limited. Chefs table meal was the best we had ever ...

Don’t believe the advertising hype about luxury.

Review for a South America Cruise on Scenic Eclipse II

Mixed feeling about Scenic Cruises. We found the crew to be exceptionally nice, helpful, couldn’t do enough for you. But the ship itself is less than luxurious. We had a Grand Deluxe Veranda Suite which was very roomy but the bathroom had no sink, it was a shelf which made it impossible to properly wash and clean teeth. This was the number one thing that spoilt the cruise. Not really luxury ...

Disappointing tours and food

Review for a Australia & New Zealand Cruise on Regatta

Overall: This was somewhat disappointing cruise that did not live up to the hype. Embarkation: A breeze. Easiest boarding ever. No lines, knowledgeable people. Cabin: We had a B-1 veranda stateroom. The room itself was fine. Flat screen TV, although not much to watch. (You could watch “Titanic” if ship disaster movies are your thing.) Adequate underbed storage for our soft-sided ...

Superb Tahitian cruise

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Star Breeze

We’ve never enjoyed a cruise so much before! Good points It starts with the ship’s modest size with only a few hundred passengers. We arrived at the port at 1:30 and were in our cabin 15 minutes later. We got one of the new midship cabins and were impressed by its roomy bathroom, especially the shower. The food was surprisingly good - much better than at a couple of fancy Tahitian ...

Paul Gauguin 10 Night Cruise

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Paul Gauguin

The Paul Gauguin is a smaller cruise ship which enables it to go places where the large vessels can't. Although it is nearly 40 years old a major refurb in 2021 was done well and has since been maintained so the ship overall, cabins and public areas present very well. The scenery is spectacular particularly viewed from the pool deck with Pina Colada in hand. Staff are well trained apart ...

We have been on many cruises and by far, this has Been our best experience. We cannot find any fault or need for improvement. From boarding the ship visiting ports and the onboard facilities it was smooth sailing. The friendly staff seemed to really enjoy their positions and very helpful at all times. The ship has exceeded all expectations. Excellent choice of restaurants, fitness and onboard ...

My Retirement present to me

Review for a South Pacific Cruise on Resilient Lady

I had heard great things about the new Ship and have always been an admirer of the amazing things that Richard Branson has achieved in his life. I read his books years ago and loved them, so it made complete sense to me to book a cruise with Virgin Voyages. The standout for me is the amazing crew, so happy ( a testament to having a great boss and working conditions) and helpful at all times. ...

Great Cruise with mediocre entertainment

We wanted to experience something different on a cruise and the price was great and with all the hype of Virgin Voyages on TV we decided to try this cruise. First impressions of the ship as we boarded was a fresh ship and happy staff. Arriving to our room we found a spacious XL Sea Terrace room like no other that we have experienced on any other cruise ship in a good way, with a separate ...

It was our 30th wedding anniversary so wanted to do something special. So decided on our first visit to Australia and New Zealand. The ship and cabins are beautiful splash out and go as a rock star if you can. The staff truly seem to be the happiest friendliest crew we have ever sailed with. I would have given 5 stars but personally feel the food lets the ship down. The wake is beautiful but ...

Resilitent Lady is our best cruise ship we have been! Loved the food and people and service! Will cruise again recommend to our family and friends. We enjoyed all the restaurants! Hot pools were nice! Gym was good as well. Our cabin was nice but surprised they didn't give us sheets!!!! I was surprised about that!?
