Great cruise. Bad side, the ship is in need of a complete renovation. Our Verandah stateroom had plastic curtains which had patches all over the backside to repair holes instead of replacing with new curtains. The fridge door would not stay closed completely so it never really kept anything cold. Bathrobes that are placed in the staterooms have seen their days, very cheap and flimsy.

Wanted to see Antarctica but no longer interested in getting out on the ice or paddling around in kayaks. Traveled with a group of four couples who had previously sailed on Celebrity Summit.
This class of ships are nicely designed with larger showrooms to accommodate grand productions and very nice gyms. Of course, that means the dining venues are also huge and, when full, tend to be ...
Going to Antarctica was a lifelong dream, and when I saw there was a South Georgia itinerary, we decided - "Let's go for it". Definitely a once in a lifetime expedition for us as we're getting older. Although we are well warned, anything can happen on an expedition cruise, and before you make a $60,000 commitment (included Patagonia extension and Viking trip insurance, + room upgrade), I ...
This was only our second cruise, having previously had a pretty poor experience in the yacht club onboard the MSC Belissima. This was a complete different league.
The ship itself is beautiful and with only 600 guests on board for the cruise it felt spacious and calm at all times. Even if the ship was full, there would always be plenty of room in the bars or at the pools to accommodate everyone ...
It’s been over 10 years since I traveled with Oceania. Our overall experience was positive. The ship is in need of some renovation as it is showing signs of aging in some areas. We werein a standard veranda cabin, and was satisfactory. The beds were very comfortable and the room layout satisfactory. The shower is quite small and a larger person would have difficulties. The dining experiences ...
The obvious reason was ship included Antarctic on this trip, as well as most of S America. Great trip though, excellent staff in restaurants. Food, which used to be excellent was average at best. Repetitive menu in Main Dining Room after 12 days. Portions were minimal at best, You could actually tell that a cost reduction was in effect by selections Simple things like coffee, which used to be ...
Great experience all way around. Stateroom was on the 7th level. My room keeper was excellent. Room was prepared immediately after I left. He noticed any repairs that required fixing and had a service person take care of it at once without delay. Very friendly and helpful.
All staff on board were extremely friendly and helpful.
Food was very tasty with great variety over the 24 days. ...
This was our first cruise since the pandemic. We were excited to finally get back into cruising. We enjoyed our cruise very much. The food was very good, but not excellent. The staff was friendly, always smiling, and seemed happy. Our cabin was nicely appointed, comfortable and well taken care of.
However, since this was billed as one of "the best cruise lines" with top-shelf wine and ...
This was our second Silversea cruise and our second time on the Silver Dawn. We liked departing from Barbados to avoid the sea days from Florida but the actual port facility in Bridgetown is more industrial and less convenient for cruising with two shuttle bus rides – one to a warehouse building for check in and another to the actual ship. Other than that, the embarkation (and disembarkation) ...
