My spouse has always wanted to go to the Galapagos. She wanted to see the unspoiled islands, tortoises, sea lions, penguins,..etc. A high school teacher of hers had gone to the Galapagos and rhapsodized about it, and made lasting impression. We've traveled extensively for work and pleasure around the world. My preference is not cruising - preferring to take a a couple of weeks in country ...
Princess cancelled our Far East cruise and the same day we were booked on to the Coral Princess going from Buenos Aires to Santiago. South America has always been on the bucket list so off we went. Embarkation was fast and well organised and so was disembarkation. Two ports had tender boats which was well organised.
The ship is a little tired in places but the service from all the crew was ...
The ship is kept clean and is very nicely decorated and furnished. I especially like that no more than 700 guests are aboard and the overnight port stays make the itinerary enjoyable. Mosaic Cafe specialty coffees, snacks, tapas, and the daily availability of several Gelato flavors at the Windows Cafe are real plusses. Stateroom service is the best in the industry.
The complimentary Azamazing ...
Selected this cruise due to Itinerary we had not visited including Carnival in Rio. and Princess had previously been our first cruise line choice
State Room was clean..only 1 chair for 2 people..fridge didn't work.
Dining room menu was short and you needed to pay extra to get lobster, steak, etc.
All staff were friendly and helpful. They tried to work around HQ dumb dictates
Ship was ...
When our (my wife and I) scheduled Crystal Cruise to SE Asia fell apart due to multiple schedule changes, and with 3 weeks suddenly open on our calendars, we opted at the last minute to schedule this Rio to Buenos Aires itinerary (as far away as possible from covid-19 issues). We literally booked on Sunday before a Wedn departure from Rio. We considered a Celebrity Buenos Aires roundtrip as well ...

The crew at all levels where charming and professional and made us feel genuinely valued. Cabin, ship layout and facilities were, for us, an ideal balance as were the passenger numbers. Food, although not of Michelin standards was in our view, more enjoyable and the options satisfactory. The negatives are minor in the context of the cruise but could easily be corrected:-
Guests repeatedly felt ...
We always wanted to see So. America. We had been on the Coral twice before and wanted to enjoy her again.
Cabin was roomy and clean and we enjoyed the balcony (C226). Our room steward was wonderful and very helpful at times.
Dining room was good most of the time. We only had one meal each that we did not love. Dining wait staff were very attentive and knew our likes and drinks etc. Desserts ...
We just got back from a wonderful trip on the Coral Princess from Santiago to Buenos Aires. This is the second time we have taken this cruise; the last time was 4 years ago. This time we booked a mini-suite, club class. The short review is that we loved our trip – even the second time.
My husband and I have taken 20+ cruises and have cruised on Princess, Holland America, Royal Caribbean, ...
The service was excellent, but the food was mediocre, both in the dining room and at the lido buffet. Loved the entertainment on ship!
Santiago did not have much sight-seeing that interested us. We like eco-tours, and it's a very arid area.
Buenos Aires was great! We particularly liked our gaucho excursion and tango lesson.
Ushuaia was one of our favorite stops. We rented a car and went ...
