A new ship does not always mean a good cruise

Review for a South America Cruise on Silver Nova

The booking was triggered by a trip over Christmas and New Year with the destination Central America. Added to this was the cruise line's "reputation" in the premium segment. The ship is a very new ship (built in 2023) and therefore the condition of the ship is of course top. The cabins leave nothing to be desired. They are beautifully furnished and offer plenty of space and storage space. ...

Sudden end of Antarctica trip on world navigator

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on World Navigator

We took the 9 day cruise trip to Antarctica through world navigator. Stateroom was nice and new. Food was decent although the portion is small. Entertainment are quite limited but they do have board games and pokers which customers can use. The cruise members are nice. There are also lectures which you can participated a couple of times a day. But world navigator really disappoints us as we ...

Review for a South America Cruise on Marina

We spent 39 days on the Marina (back to back Miami to Lima and Lima to Buenos Aires) and so happy to finally make it home. The cruise had a few wonderful highlights separated by long boring stretches. We have cruised 20+ times but only our second time with Oceania. The first was in Asia in 2016 and all that could go wrong did. All the regulars told us this was out of norm and that Oceania ...

Our 7 dec 2023-6 jan 2024 celebrity cruise had a great itinerary and wonderful staff but, was a disappointment on many levels, especially when celebrity air left us stranded. so, with almost 20 cruises under our belts, several of them celebrity, and many more in our future, we will never cruise celebrity again. Here are the details, starting with the positive: the 30 day south american ...

Celebrity has gone mainstream

Review for a South America Cruise on Celebrity Eclipse

Why pay three times more for a cruise line that is no different than a mainstream cruise line? by cutting corners on food since the food is actually worse than MSC. Limited entertainment venues, just the captain taking over the PA for an hour about navigation details no one cares about, just get us there! The cabin TV's have limited selections with poor to no reception even when at ...

Over promise and under perform

Review for a South America Cruise on Marina

This cruise line not only fails to live up to promises but also fails in its communication with passengers. One is treated as a commodity not a person by many, not all, staff. It seemed the more senior the more they under performed. Complaints on board were met with a blank stare or excuses not explanations or apologies. Food was poor to ok, with worst in the specialty French and Italian ...

Awful cruise

Lots of issues on this cruise. Entertainment: 1. All entertainment was geared to one group of people. Everything was in Spanish. 2. Whether you were in Safari Club, Vortex or in center by Christmas/bar, all entertainment was in Spanish. Disabilities: 1. There was no assistance for people with disabilities upon leaving for excursions. You were expected to walk down three flights of ...

Review for a South America Cruise on Ambition

I booked this cruise on the ambience faroe and iceland cruise over 18 months ago, the main reason was it was going down the amazon and the west indies, we’ve always wanted to go down the amazon and you had a offer that if you booked while you were on board you got 20% off the cruise price, in the end paying over £11.300. Around june last year 2023 we were notified that the itinerary of cruise ...

I did the cruise in Brazil, 26/03/23 to 02/04/23. The food was horrible, there was queue for absolutely everything. 30 to 40 min in the queue to eat. The a la carte restaurant wasn't good either. My partner got food poisoning, later one we discovered more other 20 got food poised. And a boy that have to be put on a drip. The drinks, was like a Russian roulette, you never know what you ...

Brazil being on our travel bucket list and cruising being our favourite type of holiday we thought this holiday would be perfect. It was the complete opposite. Food- Disgusting. Raw chicken, tiny portions, horrible selection, half the buffet shut, need I go on? I think MSC are keeping the cuttlefish afloat as for some strange reason that was on every night. The food was so bad there was times ...
