The Ship did not disappoint. The room was great, our room steward was accommodating and did a great job. The Spa service was a great benefit. Our excursions were interesting, and the on-board lectures and entertainment was top notch. We had a lot of dining choices for a small ship. The cocktail service was great. We were always greeted when we exited and entered the ship. If we had a request ...

Going to Antarctica was a lifelong dream, and when I saw there was a South Georgia itinerary, we decided - "Let's go for it". Definitely a once in a lifetime expedition for us as we're getting older. Although we are well warned, anything can happen on an expedition cruise, and before you make a $60,000 commitment (included Patagonia extension and Viking trip insurance, + room upgrade), I ...

This was an amazing cruise. My husband and I loved it. The cabin, the staff, the expedition team. The entertainment, the food, the captain, all great. The universe was cooperative in providing beautiful weather. We had the Drake Lake on our way down which allowed for a bonus landing at Deception Island. I hardly wore my hat and my glove liners were sufficient. All of the landings were fantastic ...

Excellent ship and cruise to Antarctica

Review for a Antarctica Cruise on Viking Polaris

Outstanding ship and crew with exceptional service and food quality. Safety was a top concern for the crew assisting on Zodiac landings with plenty of crew members ready to guide and assist each participant in getting on and off the Zodiacs safely. The staterooms were large and comfortable with large showers and floor to ceiling windows that opened by pressing a button to lower the top half of the ...

I debated between 4 and 5 stars. Pre-cruise at the Hilton. Viking support was outstanding all he way to the ship and for departure. Viking reps everywhere in the airport and even flew on the charter to/from Ushuaia. Very well organized. Polaris is a wonderful and beautiful ship. Staff and crew are exceptional. Unfortunately, weather is a major factor beyond Viking's control. Lost a ...

Silver Blunder Antarctic EV240128015 – January 2024 For months we had researched The Antarctic, South Georgia, and the Falklands and when we saw the Silversea brochure and marketing, we started liaison with Silversea in Sydney Australia. The senior representative assured us of the quality of their ships, their products, the fine culinary experience, and the strength of the expedition teams so ...

Booked this 15 day Antarctic Bridge cruise. Chose to go in style and booked the Grand Suite - not cheap. Had problems from the start of the cruise - took us two extra days due to apparent weather to get to Antartica so we missed 2 days on the ship. one couple was on their third attempt to do this cruise - cancelled 2x before. After we disembarked the ship was also delayed for 1 day before ...

I got this for my Wife's 60th birthday as she has been on several cruises but it was my first time. We booked a 2 week cruise round the Carribbean and I was totally smitten by it all the ship was fantastic the crew were always smiling and very helpful the Captain had a fantastic sence of humour and always had time to talk to you. The entertainment was generally quite good but there was a few ...

We choose this cruise to save time and experience more of Antarctica. Instead, we were delayed not but weather but by another expedition team waiting to go. Quark expedition was delayed by weather and took our spot leaving Puerto Arenas on the day we were to leave. We were suppose to arrive at our ship Sunday but instead got there Tuesday. Silversea then decided to deviate from our route by not ...
