Selected because we had not been to any of the locations except for St. Kitts, which was a substitute for Venezuela. We had taken one Viking cruise previously and that was the river cruise from Prague to Paris. While we LOVED the river cruise, it was more about the excursions and the fantastic job the guides did. The ship was great, the meals were great as was the crew. Europe is full of ...
My husband and I are retired, frequent cruisers and were alone on this trip. This was our third NCL cruise and will look forward to the fourth. We like being at sea, we don't enjoy beaches or pools. Cabin size and having a balcony are important to us.
The good:
Extremely clean well maintained ship.
Pleasant helpful crew. Excellent concierge service. It seems their top priority was to ...
We chose this cruise for the itinerary, several Caribbean islands and Colombia which we had never seen before. We liked it so much that we cancelled a trip on another cruise line for 2018 so that we could do the same trip on Viking. The crew, food, and accommodations were the best. Crew couldn’t do enough for us. We felt like we had made many friends. We look forward to another trip and feel that ...
Viking knows how to do things with excellence. Every detail is amazing. They go the extra mile. Things that seasoned cruisers notice are above and beyond expectations. For instance there are succulents on the tables between every chair by the pool. The lighting is exquisite. Upon entering the restaurant, there’s a real sink with soap and water for hand washing. The spa is truly a one of a ...
We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and we loved Viking River cruises and decided to try the Viking Ocean Cruise. We were pleasantly surprised and the ship was everything we like, Small Ship, No Casino, No young children and free style dining. Embarkation was efficient and hassle free the best we have ever had. Disembarkation was not as good because of all the walking and climbing ...
I have cruised with Norwegian on seveal previous occasions, but this was my first on one of their smaller ships. Overall, I enjoyed the cruise vey much. I must admit that there is not as much to do as on their bigger ships. I dd enjoy the smaller crowds though. I am always amazed at some of the negative reviews regaring food on Norwegian cruises. I had the dining package and thoroughly ...
My husband selected this cruise because it included new ports of call for us. The ship is very sleek and modern, the restaurants were superb and we never had a problem making a reservation or just showing up with our party of 6. The nightly entertainment was so special and delightful, we laughed so much and had a spectacular time enjoying a different show each evening. Gene Young, our cruise ...
The luxury cruises seemed to provide a great deal of value for the money. Yes, they are more expensive, but with different amenities for different lines, you can get a price you want and the included tipping and drinks and other amenities are super!
Seabourn could improve laundry! We get a bag a day on Holland America but on a luxury cruise we don’t?
They are super about all the amenities ...
The cruise was superb, nice stops , great service, cleanliness at the highest level.
The food everywhere was superb, highlights were Jacques first, Red Ginger a close second, Toscana s and Polo. The best salad certainly was the Watermelon and Duck salad served at Red Ginger. The Tournedos Rossini at Jacques was incredible as well as the Mille Feuilles dessert. At Toscana s I had The Filet ...
Our first ever ocean crossing, on Riviera was as effortless as could be. Smooth seas and fine weather. Aside from a kitchen that couldn’t keep up one evening in the main dining room, service was great throughout the ship and over the whole trip. No complaints that made any difference to the enjoyment of our trip.
A few observations that Oceania might consider but it’s really about fine ...
