14th – 31st Oct 17 Fort Lauderdale to Santiago aboard Silver Muse Silver Suite #1007 Having sailed on Silversea many times before, we booked to go on this voyage on the Silver Muse a year ago. We deliberately avoided going soon after its maiden voyage in Apr 17. Surely, all the gremlins would be fixed by Oct 17? In Apr 17 we started to monitor the reviews on Cruise Critic. They seemed ...

Not exactly up to previous Princess standards

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Island Princess

We always wanted to do the Panama Canal cruise and we have previously sailed on Princess so when this cruise came up at the right time and price, we jumped on it. We were disappointed with the condition of the ship and the size of the shower in our balcony cabin. The beds were a little saggy in the middle. A peculiar thing happened during the first week of the cruise, the food in the dining room ...

Wanted to go through the Panama Canal again. It was delightful . Met some great people and enjoyed the staff. Our Cabin steward , Arturo , did a great job and created the most interesting animals with towels. Many that we had not seen before. We really enjoyed the Captain’s Lunch . Food was excellent and the company very enjoyable. We would go on ship again. We wished that we could ...

I contracted influenza while on board, and the Celebrity response was very good.

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Celebrity Infinity

I chose this cruise to be with two couples I have known for a long time. It's my only cruise so far; therefore, it's my best cruise and it's also my worst cruise. Service on the Celebrity Infinity was EXCELLENT. Further, every Infinity employee from cleaners to officers always greeted me with 'Good morning, sir!' and a smile! Waiters remembered my preference on beverage. At our reserved ...

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Pearl

This was my 23rd cruise, 1st with Norwegian Cruise Line. Really liked freestyle dining, this would be the main reason I would sail Norwegian again. Food was good in buffet and main dining restaurants. The steaks at Cagneys were very tender and the service was great. Frenh Restaurant was ok but did not care for items offered. O Sheehans was good for the fish & chips and the rueben sandwich. I ate ...

We chose this cruise because we had done all the Caribbean, Alaska and Mexico cruises and had been wanting to see the Panama Canal. We used to use Norwegian but got off onto other line about 10 years ago. From the moment we saw our room I was impressed, it seems they have addressed every need. The room was lovely the colors bright yet soothing. love the clothes line in the shower. All the ...

Oct 7-21, 2017 NCL Cruise: Los Angeles through Panama Canal to New Orleans

There were many things I enjoyed about the cruise. The NORWEGIAN PEARL had been in dry-dock earlier in 2017 and everything was clean and freshly painted. Every member of the crew that I encountered, without fail, was pleasant, courteous and very helpful. The food was good. I particularly liked the Summer Palace dining room. My cabin was small, but nothing that I wasn’t aware of well in advance. It ...

The Panama Canal is an engineering masterpiece. The cruise is an experience that is worth doing any time. I was told that it is different going west to east rather than east to west. I really didn't see the difference. If you have the opportunity to go do, I don't see how anyone would regret it. The ports are Cabo San Lucas, Acapulco, Huatulco, Puntarenas and Cartagena as well as the ...

GREAT Panama Canal Cruise from San Francisco on the Norwegian Sun

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Sun

We chose this cruise because we wanted to do a full transit of the Panama Canal. It left from San Francisco and sailed out under the Golden Gate Bridge, which was wonderful. We also enjoy "Fleet Week" activities by the Blue Angel Navy team while waiting to sail! We had been on a previous cruise on Norwegian Sun and liked the intimacy of this smaller ship. We decided to book and Oceanview ...

We selected an aft facing cabin for our Panama Canal transit, boarding in SFO. A great treat for us was to watch the Navy Blue Angles practice over the bay just before we left. That alone was worth the trip. Leaving SFO under the Golden Gate with picture perfect weather was a tremendous experience. Some of the ports were pretty "why-even-get-off" the ship kind of stops - but we were mainly ...
