We were a family of 7 and had two inside cabins next door to each other, myself, my husband and the two children in one and the older ones in the other these were more than adequate for what we needed which was a bed to sleep in, our steward John was great always very friendly and cheerful.
I have read some of the reviews on here and it makes me wonder what these people expect or what cruise ...
Second Fred Olsen cruise had something to live up to. Chosen because another Fred ship had relatively poor cruise critic reviews but Bolette reviews were very good. A good decision.
We chose grade E deck 2 outside cabin which was always clean and always comfortable with no extraneous noises. Parking in Southampton was easy and free, embarked without delay close to dock. Returning to ...
Went on this cruise the week of 27th of august until the 3rd of september, boarding in copenhagen. Itinerary norwegian fjords. We had an interior cabin on the 13th floor. There was a cracking noise of the cabin ceiling at all times. It was difficult to rest at night. The wifi service is unacceptable for the price and for this kind of ship.
Embarking and disembarking went smoothly and quickly. ...
We just wrapped up a cruise to the Norwegian Fjords on MSC Virtuosa. It departed from Southampton. It was our first time on MSC and our first time on a large ship; capacity was around 6,000 guests. The ship was built in 2020 and first sailed in 2021.
Virtuosa was full of things to do and the main promenade was pretty. The pool and solarium were always crowded, since I estimate half the guests ...
We chose this cruise as, having cruised with various other cruise lines on much larger ships, we felt the smaller ship would suit our Norwegian Fjords cruise best.
The ship's main foyer is tired and unimpressive. The decor is dated and dull. The cabin was far from 'superior' as advertised - being very tired, only having one single plug socket for a double occupancy with a shabbily added USB ...
We chose this cruise ship...The Ambience as it was smaller than other ships and thought our Fjord cruise would benefit from this.
In reality this ship lacked a lot of the benefits of the larger cruise ships.
The food was adequate but nothing special.
The main restaurant, Borough Market closed at 10pm. Which meant if you wanted anything to eat there was nowhere to go...not even a few ...
For context myself and my wife had cruised 7 times we are RCI lovers!
We have cruised RCI, NCL and MSC. We are in our 30’s and my Son, Two
I wanted to share my review as i hope to give something back, i red a lot of posts before sailing so hope this is helpful.
Embarkation Day.
We had a 14:30 slot. I arrived at 13:00, this was ahead of time as the traffic was much quicker than i had ...
We picked the cruise for the destination, it suited our timelines and we wanted to see the Norwegian Fjords.
Overall I was impressed with the cabin and the staff were excellent, the facilities were good, however I did get frustrated at the amount of upselling, be that shops or the facilites on board including the very expensive "speciality dining". Compared to previous cruises with P&O and ...
We’ve just disembarked from Havila Capella. I’d give it a wide berth if I were you. We booked an excursion for which we were charged a lot money, it turned out the excursion was only possible in Winter. Not in August. It was refunded via bank wire then charged again on my credit card. I emailed them by they’ve sort of disappeared. Food is scanty. Portions are meager ok if you are on a diet or ...
My husband has never been a cruising enthusiast, but this itinerary was appealing. This was our first Viking cruise, and we had such a marvelous time. The staff was top notch, the food superb, the ship lovely and quiet. Everything was to our liking, and we have now booked another Viking cruise! My husband said the experience was like being in a 5 star hotel that sailed you to your various ...
