My review is written from the viewpoint of somebody who booked a very cheap cruise with the most basic of cabins.
We boarded it at Southampton which was an absolute dream. I have never boarded a ship so quickly and with the so little fuss and the cruise line as well as the onshore team should be congratulated, We had an 11:00 a.m. boarding time and returned up. Expecting to be hanging around ...
Mostly pleasant experience. The restaurants are well stocked with varieties of food options, both at the fine dining and buffet market place restaurants.
Loads of onboard activities and entertainments. Helpful and knowledgeable staff.
Modern amenities everywhere. The lifts, the booking system, the bar service are all automated.
The only complaint I have is the lack of live TV service. The ...
Having cruised Celebrity about a dozen times in the last decade, I have witnessed first-hand the slow decline of a once-great cruise line. But like Bugs Bunny who sees himself as the lollypop "sucker" in the mirror, I now realize that the value proposition -- previously the main reason I selected Celebrity for several vacations a year -- is no longer even close to worth the money ...
This is a 9 night and we have enjoyed it. Food selection not wonderful however from breakfast to dinner we enjoyed it all. Service for dining was great. Bar service is lacking. Room Stewart great. Shows were amazing. We had sailed her last November and loved it. Decided to sail again as it's my birthday week. Only complaint is food choice is not always to our liking. We also ate in Eden and steak ...
This was our first River cruise. Celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary. My husband had read so much about Viking so we booked departing Amsterdam Nov. 12, 2023 for the 8 day cruise to Basel. The crew was exceptional, cabin was nice. The food was ok, cold most of the time. In the brochure it states no waiting in lines and that what we did most of the time. We thought that once we got to a ...
We had sailed previously on MSC Preziosa in the Caribbean which was just a glorified bus service picking up and dropping off people at each port which we found odd as no other cruise line seems to do this. This caused congestion at every port getting on and off.
The food on board was at best average and the portions in the main restaurants very small. And once the staff found out that you ...
We chose this cruise as it represented very good value and convenient from Southampton. We also liked the idea of sailing on a brand new mega ship. All in all we had an excellent time and enjoyed the facilities and service on board very much. It does get busy at times especially in the buffet restaurant but this is to be expected on a big boat and to be honest it was not that bad and we did not ...
After 15 cruises on P&O, X, MSC & Royal Caribbean we decided to try a Cunard cruise. We have found PO standards have degraded in the last 2 years and 3 cruises. We started our Cunard experience on a short cruise to Amsterdam and were really pleased with the experience and so glad we tried them. Will definitely be up there on the list of preferred cruise lines going forward.

Even if the weather was not ideal we had a blast. All the crew members were fantastic. The meals are just delicious and so well presented. Our cruise director, Betti, was amazing. During our cruise, one of the lock broke down and she was able to reorganized all the excursions on a very short notice, all this happening on a Saturday. High five to Betti. All the waiting staff in the restaurant or ...
In general the ship, staff and cruise destinations were good.
Cabin was a standard with balcony which was ideal.
Food and restaurants were of a very high standard. The Horizon buffet on deck 16 could be a bit of a free for all when busy. It felt like some other people could do with some manners, however apart from that no real complaints.
Mind you there could be more water fountains to ...
