We sailed 3 legs from Athens to Sydney over 44 days and we could not fault anything about this ship. So much so even after so long we did not want to get off. The inclusions were great which included fresh buttered popcorn, tapas on back deck which include bbq prawns and octopus, peanut brittle and many different lollies, gelato ice cream and all soft drink and juices. All restaurants were ...

We got a great deal on the cruise and loved the itinerary but knew nothing about the ship Wow we were surprised Everything about virgin is above and beyond. It’s all fresh and clean. With many modern touches The staff are genuinely happy to work and that atmosphere radiates through the ship. The staff are friendly relaxed and interact with the passengers all the time Food in all the ...

My wife convinced me 2 years ago to book a 7 day cruise with p&o on Iona to the Norwegian Fjords. Well i loved it and have had the cruise bug ever since. So once we came back i knew we had to go on another one. My wife likes to watch Cruise 1st TV, she found a great deal for the new Virgin Voyages ship Resilient Lady. This cruise was a repositioning cruise from Athens to Dubai with a 2 night ...

Great cruise but can be improved

This was our second cruise with Virgin Voyages. What we most love about Virgin cruise : 1. Adults only 2. No pesky photographers 3. The restaurants and quality of the food served. 4. Free ice cream 5. No beverage packages What can be improved: 1. Embarkation process in Athens. It was quite chaotic, having to queue in the sun and delay in boarding. 2. Providing early ...

More than met my expectations

Review for a Africa Cruise on Zuiderdam

Itinerary- Africa at the top of my bucket list. Most ports were readily available to walk through. Ship tours ranged in price- from inexpensive to YIKES! Even though I now travel solo, I was comfortable and at ease. Staff on board exceptional- always willing to answer questions, give directions when we got lost or needed more information. Cabin stewards were always going the extra mile to make ...

Guides are amazing. Chef Adel provides the best food. Egypt is very safe! Egypt has had a past with terrorists and they don't play around with security. Two to three security checks at the airport. Heavily armed police at all the tourist spots. Check points along every route. People that are happy to share their country with you. You start early to avoid the heat and the crowds. There ...

To visit Egypt was a dream of mine for a long time but waited until I retired and there was relative peace in the country. From our time in Cairo to the actual cruise down the Nile I was totally enthralled with the itinerary that Viking provided. The guides were Egyptologist and thus knew all the hieroglyphics and gods that the pharaohs worshiped and thus built their burial ...

We'd always been interested in Egypt and had seen artifacts over the years at different museums. The highlight was a traveling exhibit of spectacular discoveries from 2019 which we saw in San Francisco in 2022, and an email from Uniworld a few months later had us hooked and ready to book this Cruise. We learned on Day 1 that we had a brilliant scholar and a humorous, thoughtful and caring ...

We decided that we wanted to experience Egypt in terms of seeing the sites around Cairo, including the Giza plateau, and then see the temples along the Nile. We selected Viking due to the itinerary offered and the quality of the ship’s accommodations. We were not disappointed. The hotels we stayed at in Cairo , the Sheraton and the Intercontinental, were superb accommodations. The tours of the ...
