Princess - Below Expectations

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Discovery Princess

Okay this is an objective review based upon our direct experience and conversations onboard with other seasoned cruisers aged between 40 and 60. All of the other cruisers we spoke with were couples and most were US citizens, with the other being British, like ourselves. Discovery Princess was immaculately presented, with no signs of wear and tear or damage anywhere. The deluxe balcony cabin ...

We decided to give Princess a try for the short 3-day cruise and opted fora mini-suite with the plus package. We started out our first day with lunch in the Skagway didning room so we could try the orance souffle. Service was very odd and our waiter seemed like he really was not having a good morning. When the food did finally arrive it was lukewarm and a little bland. It was just okay. The room ...

Disappointing Experience with Princess Cruise Line

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Discovery Princess

I recently embarked on a voyage with Princess Cruise Line on the Discovery Princess. While the ship itself was beautiful, my overall experience was disappointing and didn’t meet my expectations. The ship lacked a variety of activities for children. They had a multi-purpose court and two ping pong tables, but the equipment was worn down and in need of repair. They didn’t organize many outdoor ...

Loved Koningsdam

It was our 5th cruise on Holland. We had been sailing Royal since pandemic, but got a casino offer from Holland. We've always enjoyed Holland and this gave us a chance to get our foot in the door. We booked Club Orange and were not disappointed. Booked Have It All, probably not do in future, we get drinks in casino. We were worried after posts said drinks were only for 1 person, but they were ...

Waste of money

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Disney Wonder

Cabin- we had a nice balcony along with lots of space. 5 stars for that. Food- main dinning room was not good, at all. Whole wheat pasta for kids, is that a joke? Nope. No Caesar salad on dinner menus. No buffet at night either. Room service is available 24/7 though. We had the late dining at 8:15 pm, terrible. Kids were tired. Dinner service was awful, we appeared to be the last ones there ...

Save your money, it's not worth it.

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Panorama

The food was terrible. You could tell they used frozen vegetables which resulted in soggy and oddly salty vegetables. Dry and overcooked meat. Overcooked pasta and noodle. The rice was wet and crumped together. They either used instant rice or a messed up pot. The only things that are ok were pizza, burger and soft-serve ice cream. Fine dining every evening was no better as they serve similar food ...

Horrible Cruise Saved by the Eclipse

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Zaandam

The only thing that saved this cruise was the eclipse. This was my third cruise with HAL in three years 2 were on the Eurodam and then this one. I loved my other 2 cruises but this one really soured me on cruising. Confusing info: We received an email about boarding times which had people instructed to board at 3pm which was all aboard time. It was revised to 2:30. I’m sure this contributed to ...

The Good (lots of it) and sadly the Bad

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Crown Princess

Embarkation: VERY GOOD. We were on the ship within 25 minutes of dropping off our bags. Note for when sailing out of San Francisco, the port is off The Embarcadero and there was heavy traffic getting to the pier. We made the mistake of dropping off our luggage on the street a block south of the pier because of the traffic. If we had waited 5-10 more minutes, we could have dropped it off ...

Low Quality Cruise Brand

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

If you don’t know any better, you may find yourself enthusiastic about NCL, but if this is the case, you are missing out! I am currently aboard the Bliss on a 7 day Baja cruise and I will tell you what to expect or what to avoid. For starters, the embarkation process is a zoo. It’s sad to say, but don’t come when you are scheduled, come way later in the day and here is why. First, there are so ...

NCL unapologetically lowers cruise expectations

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Norwegian Bliss

User Avatar

I booked the 7 day Baja Mexico cruise. NCL unexpectedly canceled their port stop, on several cruise itineraries, to Ensenada - without any notice or explanation. Remember that you are paying for that port and the charges were not refunded. The NCL “free” airfare was BAD. The worst was a 11:59pm return flight that they wouldn’t change! The embarkation process was a disorganized zoo, with ...
