We chose this cruise because we were celebrating my parents 50th Anniversary and they didn't want to fly so out of LA we have two options, Carnival or RCCL. We haven't been on a cruise in 3 yrs and not a Carnival one in 5 yrs. We received a nice offer for a Suite cabin from the Players Club.
Food: Guy's burger joint was very good. Two different dinner waiters were great.

We selected this cruise for several reasons 1) Casino Rate $100 pp for the week, 2) Anniversary, 3) Did not have to fly and 4) NCL doesn't sail in the summer to Mexico. We are seasoned cruisers with 70 past cruises with various lines, we are Platinum with Carnival.

Longest lines and what was the point of verifly if they had to review all your documents at 3 separate locations it was ridiculous waiting hours in line to wait in 3 more looking at the same stuff! We chose this itinerary because it was out of and back to San Francisco. SF is our home port so there was no flying and only 1 hour by BART. The other part of our decision and the prime factor is we got to play golf on Santa Catalina in beautiful Avalon. Those alone was were the pluses.
