We took the Norwegian Joy from LA to Miami on Jan 17, 2020 because it went through the Panama Canal, which was on out bucket list. We have done several cruises on various cruise lines, but this was our first Norwegian cruise. It is also our last Norwegian cruise.
Embarking/Disembarking
This was the worst embarking experience we have had in 15 cruises. Very long line and wait times. No ...
3rd cruise. Last one in the early 2000's. SAME FAKE art auction and same tanzanite sales pitch. Its old and scammy, cruiselines !
The show Elements was a 10 ! Other entertainment very good !
All meat was tough. All hot food not hot. All food a mix of very good and not so good.
Complimentary dining room service is slow between courses. I had to start ordering to get the appetizer and ...
I thought the food at the buffet was pretty bad. Although the Indian food was superb. The buffet had hot dog, hamburger and low quality chow mein without meat. The deserts were lacking in taste. I've been on a lot of cruise and never been on a cruise so bad. When we returned to cabin there was never chocolate nor towel animals. I don't usually like to write reviews because I am lazy but I just ...
Stateroom walls were very thin so that sound was noticeable from the adjoining mini suite. Dining options were the norm for Princess; good food and service in the dining rooms. Unfortunately a large seating area which was adjacent to the bar in the International Café was blocked off for construction during the cruise, which limited available seating; this caused over crowding in the Atrium area ...
We were offered a last minute uograde which we paid for to go from the very back of floor 1 to floor 6. The logistics of such a move put some strain on the system. We received document, invites and other messages for the previous occupants until the third day. I turned platinum this cruise but got a gold card which was corrected when we went to guest services. Here's the rub, everything on the ...
I chose this ship for a short family vacation and trial run with the kids and my husband at cruising. We took the 3 day Ensenada cruise out of San Diego. The ship is old, the food is not fantastic, there are not a lot of things for kids to do as on the newer ships, and they seem short-staffed. We did manage to make the most our of the experience and make memories. However, I couldn't imagine being ...
Starting at embarkation sitting in an overcrowded hall for the better part of 3 hours - we were not off to a good start! No credible explanation from Princess; no bother to greet the arriving pxs when they finally made it on board.
Balcony stateroom was okay but was very shocked to find torn sheets and stained pillowcases on the bed (replaced 2 days later). Room steward was great as were a few ...
Because I am generally a really positive person that tries to see the good in everything, I will start off with that. Edward the cabin steward was fantastic and just a great guy. He genuinely cared and worked hard. The food was generally pretty good in the dining room and the dining room staff was fun to interact with and they worked hard. Although - it makes no sense how we can be travelling ...
This is my 7th cruise. I cruise along with my family twice a year. The embarkation was process on the cruise was a nightmare. It took over 2 hours to board the ship. The food on the ship was adequate. The french specialty restaurant was nice. The productions were also great. The ship was very loud. Priority was given to Haven Guests for everything, while others spent ridiculous periods waiting for ...
My family and friends took the Grand Princess on a 15 night New Years cruise. The idea of leaving out of our home port (San Francisco) and visiting Hawaii was quite enticing. My ten-year-old is a Love Boat freak (really), so when my travel agent called and said there was a sale on this itinerary, we jumped on it. Unfortunately, we had the worst cruise that we have ever experienced. However, I am ...
