We just got back from Hawaii on Sept 30th and this cruise was anything but a Miracle. It started out with 4 sea days which wasn't so bad but it was not only a family vacation but also for my 10 year anniversary. There were about 28 of us in total. I had a stateroom on 1 and found out the first week that the cruise that had just disembarked the ship from Alaska had a lot of covid cases and that ...
We are two retirees who are in generally good health, but with a few mobility issues. Neither of us has had any respiratory illnesses in the last ten years. We wanted to take a transatlantic cruise to Europe, and were attracted to Cunard because almost exactly ten years ago we sailed on this very ship, The Cunard Queen Elizabeth, around the Greek islands, and had a fabulous time. In fact in 2012 ...
The beginning of the planning was soon to be misrepresented by customer service when we called to complete the reservation. The lady on the phone promised to keep our family rooms very close, since we have first time customers from outside the US. When we arrived we noticed that our rooms were on separate floors and on separate ends of the ship. (Major issue) Go back the Carnival of the old with ...
Let me start by saying I don't think I should be treated "special", but when you are sold a Grand Suite because of all the supposed wonderful extras and ammenities, then you sort-of have a raised expectation... especially when I have sailed a suite-class on other cruise lines. And because I have often sailed with RC's sister company, Celebrity, I was Platinum level in their Crown & Anchor Society ...
There were some good things about our cruise. The COVID testing process for kids, while unfortunate to have to do, went as smoothly as it could have. The staff running it were helpful and efficient; we were in and out in less than half an hour. On the ship, the service in Windjammer and Cafe Promenade was fantastic - the people who work there were so kind and attentive! The food from El Loco ...
We were having a great time until the end. Loved our dinner team Lino, Jordan & Jie at the Horizon restaurant. Pig & Anchor was delicious. Had a great time with Ranzel at the casino on multiple nights. Shows were a little luster and really nothing to rave about. The downfall of this trip is that so far 5 of the 10 of my group tested positive for COVID the day we returned to find out that the ...
We haven't been on a cruise in 3 yrs and not a Carnival one in 5 yrs. We received a nice offer for a Suite cabin from the Players Club.
Food: Guy's burger joint was very good. Two different dinner waiters were great.
Casino: Dealers could use some help. Consider getting rid of your bonus bet on the craps table. 4 minutes between each roll was lame. Our cocktail server in the casino was ...
We selected this cruise for several reasons 1) Casino Rate $100 pp for the week, 2) Anniversary, 3) Did not have to fly and 4) NCL doesn't sail in the summer to Mexico. We are seasoned cruisers with 70 past cruises with various lines, we are Platinum with Carnival.
Embarkation - Easy checking in to the ship. We arrived 40 minutes prior to our slotted time and quickly checked in. ...
We selected this cruise for exclusivity, serenity and education. What a SHOCK when 20 or more young junior English loutish "travel agents" were given a free cruise. They were treated better than paying passengers, were rude, frequently drunk, rowdy and annoying. They dominated and were indulged by the senior officers. They RUINED what was supposed to be a luxury cruise. Even the crew were ...
We have travel on Celebrity for 24 years...3 times on the Millennium. Due to Covid and a new staff of workers, the Customer Service was awful. We couldn't get WI-FI to work consistently the TV had hardly any stations and it only worked when we were at sea.....2 movie channels, ESPN1 and 2 MSNBC, BBC, BBC1, Cartoons, RedBull channel, Fox news and CNN. The movies were terrible and old. The Ship ...
