What went wrong.
We had booked a balcony stateroom (number 8766) for a Panama Canal Cruise from Miami to Los Angeles, sail date 21 January 2023. We were invited to bid for an upgrade which we did, quite close to the sail date, cost: £335 per person (x2). As you can see from the picture of the suite attached the room shows a window with a sea view and was described as a “Family Suite”. ...

We chose this as our bucket list cruise around the world. First the two items that were positive about this cruise:
1.The cabin stewards and the personnel in the Horizon Cafe were terrific when it came to service
2.The Horizon Cafe Buffet had a great selection of food which was well prepared and had a tremendous variety.

A World Cruise (WC) was on my bucket list and Princess is our preferred Cruise Line (4 of us). This was NOT a cruise I would repeat nor recommend. My Husband and I just returned from a 15-day cruise to Hawaii aboard the Princess Cruise Line.
Firstly, the food was HORRIBLE!! The food was bland & tasteless, meat was tough & hard to eat, breads, rolls were dry & hard. I chose this cruise for the itinerary. The experience was 0 stars.
1. Free WIFI was mostly no WIFI, when it was available it was agonizingly slow and kept disconnecting, allowed one device per cabin. IT was totally not interested in solving connection issues. Movies were not updated for 6 months.

Having sailed at least six times on NCL in the last two years, we ventured onto this Celebrity ship to try something different. Huge mistake that we will not repeat.

So our cruise in the Haven started by being left out in the rain in a cold tent with zero drinks for an hour as the berth had changed. Outhouses were outside for your use and dirty.
