Fantastic, but!

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Koningsdam

First time on Holland after many cruises on Carnival, RCL and NCL. CONS: They definitely have an issue with staffing, especially in regards to buffett and main dining rooms. Buffett, they let you choose some items yourself but not others, which leads to big lines. Main dining room you get a glass of wine immediately but any mixed drink, you have to wait 1/2 an hour. Some staff is not as ...

I was on a 33-day cruise from Los Angeles to Buenos Aires, Argentina starting Dec. 2, 2022. We sailed along the Pacific Coast with stops in Cabo San Lucas; Puntarenas, Costa Rica; Lima, Peru for 2 days; skipped Pisco, Peru due to the coup in Lima; stopped in Coquimbo and Santiago, Chile; skipped Punta Arenas, Chile due to high seas and win and, sailed alternatively through the Strait of Magellan ...

The Panama Canal was on our bucket-list, and this cruise left from near our home... too easy. I traveled with my husband of 43 years. We have cruised many, many times, but this was our first NCL cruise. EMBARKATION: Our son-in-law dropped us off on the pier, and we rolled our bags (we each had one carry-on bag and one "personal item" bag - we traveled this way to make our flight home from Miami ...

this cruise would be great for families and all of our kids loved it begging to go on another but maybe not as great for couples or teenagers kids clubs were good and the waterslide to not as great for adults though it was mediocre at best for adults the kids enjoyed mini golf, waterslides, ropes course, and pools + spas but the jacuzzis were always very full with kids splashing and jumping in. ...

Blah with a few good things

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Diamond Princess

I chose this cruise for the itinerary and was worried about the ship as it just came back in service. There are only about a 1000 passengers for a ship.that holds 2700. My first impression was Blah and after 10 days my impression hasn’t changed. The cabins are comfortable, with soft comfortable beds. The shower is small. The room steward excellent. The entertainment is poor, but princess ships ...

First, we love HAL. Each time we sail, we are impressed with the service, the food, and the ships. Of course, like everyone else we are always most impressed with the crew and, particularly, our stewards. What a great bunch of professionals each and every one has been! This cruise had some hiccups and coughs that I think they will soon work out, as well as one possible major flaw that ...

My wife and I have done this itinerary a few times on NCL and other cruise lines but this the first time we have sailed on the Bliss and would sail on it again. Any cruise on the west coast is a bonus for us and the transfer from LAX to the cruise port went smoothly. The cruise port was another story though expected I suppose with 4000 passengers being herded through the embarkation process. ...

First fully booked cruise since Covid. Did they handle the crowds well?

Context: I'm a 40-something gay man traveling with my husband and our 19 year old kid (first cruise for the kid). This was my first cruise on HAL, and his second. Other lines we've done: Celebrity (twice), RCCL (twice), Norwegian (twice), Princess (once). Our favorite lines are Celebrity and RCCL. A little context to this review. Apparently, this was the first fully booked cruise on ...

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Norwegian Jewel

We chose this cruise for a couple of reasons - ports of call including the Panama Canal and second the price was amazing. NCL service is absolutely TOP NOTCH in all aspects of delivery. Everyone was polite, helpful, kind and courteous. The Jewel is a great ship - just the right size - not too big/not too small. The refurbishment is NICE. Ports of call included Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, ...

Embarkation with Medallion was a breeze. Checked large luggage with porter at curbside. Direct to check in counter. Through security screening and onto the ship. Time was about 1 PM. Wanted to give staff time to complete changed over of staterooms. Went direct to the stateroom and it was ready, with our Elite mini bar set up. Shortly after walking into the room, our Stewart Miguel arrived ...
