Princess Cruise Line Feb 6th 4 Night Cruise to Ensenada and Catalina from Los Angeles San Pedro port on the Royal Princess.
We are classically NCL cruisers. This was our first Princess Cruise and truth be told we received it for free from Caesars Casino. We got a balcony cabin A414 and added the drink package. We did no specialty dinning as we had just wanted to experience the base cruise. We ...
The Oosterdam is one of the older Holland America ships but is attractive, well maintained, and comfortable and has probably the best service, certainly the friendliest service, of any of the Holland America ships that we have sailed on. The officers, too, are unusually cordial and went out of their way to greet and chat with guests. What I liked best about this 17-day Panama Canal transit cruise, ...
This was our 12th cruise, 2d on HAL. What a disappointment! Ship is tired, scuffed, dirty and smelly. Needs a major renovation. Design is dated, but more important it's just old and not well maintained. The ambience of the ship transferred to many (but by no means all) of the staff, many of whom seemed just as tired as the ship and were simply going thru the motions. The food was ...
My wife and I just completed a 17-day cruise on February 22 on the Oosterdam from Fort Lauderdale (February 5) to San Diego. The food and service were great. The ship was clean and crisp. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The headliner shows each evening were top notch. The Lido Market was well organized, much better than other cruise ships. However, we probably will not book ...
The port of calls were certainly limited on this cruise with two days in Cabo only with the second day on the short side. Nevertheless, it was a great get away cruise. We'd sailed on the Royal previously to Alaska and even on the previous 7 night cruise to this one on a B2B basis. The Royal is a beautiful and well designed ship.
The beef steaks and roasts were much better than usual in both ...
Warm weather cruise in both the Pacific and Atlantic. Staff was ...as usual, outstanding. The ship was set to be refurbished at the end of this cruise. It needed it. Really could have been discounted because of the needed repairs. Carnival has really fallen off in quality since we started with them nearly 35 years ago. Food quality and entertainment need upgraded. It would have been good to ...
Cruised same itinerary last February aboard the Royal Princess. This year, the Royal Princess was a completely newer and larger ship. Both cruises (inside room only) were complimentary through a casino promotion . Last year for a small fee was able to upgrade to a cabin with a window. Window rooms do not exist on the 'new' Royal Princess, so this year had to upgrade to a balcony room for a ...
The Panorama was new and beautiful. Our interior was tight, but expected. The staff on top of things and the food was fine. Our dining staff were meticulous. I especially enjoyed the blue iguana and guy burger joint. Yum! The rooms were clean and my family and I had a fun time. All three ports were lovely and we felt safe and welcome at each one. Our whale watching excursion rocked! I wish the ...
We stayed in Suite 11221, which was a beautiful comfortable room but I would advise people to avoid this particular cabin and the ones around it unless you don't want to get any sleep. This suite was directly under the weight room in the fitness center and meatheads above us were slamming and dropping heavy weights on the floor (our ceiling) from 8 am on. The fitness center was supposed to close ...
the design of the ship reminded us a lot of Royal Caribbean, it is disappointing they don't put lemons on the tables every night only formal nights. We had a great time the extras like the hand washing stations in the lido deck and at the cherry on top Candy shop we're great additions. Ship featured a large effy jewelry selection and the piano bar had a fantastic host for the sailing we were on ...
