Cruising is not for us.

Review for a Pacific Coastal Cruise on Discovery Princess

We had never cruised before this trip. We have many friends that cruise regularly, some with over 30 cruises. Several of our friends cruised on this ship in the past year and a half. They convinced us this was the ship for us. Why this ship? We love live music. This cruise had 2 piano players, 2 bands, one solo guitarist, 2 violinists, and a jazz trio. The music was great. The jazz trio, ...

I will start with a quick summary of our cruise and then break it down into sections with more detail. First, a little about us, we are an easy going family of four including two kids aged 8 and 11. We have been on nine Carnival cruises as a family so we are pretty experienced cruisers. Quick summary: Panorama is a very nice ship with lots of amenities, activities, and entertainment to keep ...

Poor customer relations by Oceania

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Oceania Vista

We choose this cruise largely because it was a new ship. Additionally the itinerary was interesting, starting on the west coast of the US, down west side of Mexico, through the Panama Canal and ending in Miami. Overall the cruise was good even though there were more sea days than we would have preferred. Overall it was a pleasant experience with a couple exceptions: first, I had contacted ...

Nice ship but port stops way to short

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Oceania Vista

This was our first cruise on Oceania and we picked this cruise for the itinerary and of course the Panama Canal. The boarding process was fast and easy. We spent a few nights in Redondo beach first and really enjoyed being on the marina. We stayed at the Shade hotel there and it was excellent. A taxi from LAX was around $30 and an Uber from the hotel to the cruise terminal was around $35 including ...

Just completed 20 days on the sun from Seattle to Fl. First off we had a penthouse i bedroom rear facing suite on the 10th floor that had a very large deck with two chairs and two loungers with thick and comfortable pads. The room was ok - the shower wad small to fit the 6 foot tub. The living room needed an extra chair and bigger table for eating on but we just bough in a deck chair. The bed was ...

About us: I'm in my early 60s and my buddy is in his early 50s. I've cruised over 20 times, mostly on Celebrity & MSC. He hasn't cruised a lot, but recently did a Ritz Carlton Yachts cruise in Europe. Overview: This was a 6 day cruise out of Los Angeles. It sailed to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, overnight, and then spent a day in San Diego, which is where I live. Thread: I did a live thread ...

The Infirmary and Steel Drums

Review for a Panama Canal & Central America Cruise on Ruby Princess

We choose Princess because it sailed out of San Francisco. We were able to take the Amtrac train out of Fresno, CA at 6:00 AM and were in front of the Buffet at 11:30 AM. Embarkation was the easiest of all our cruises. Luggage taken right from the Uber along the curbside. Every sea day was a hour practice on the steel drums for 30 shipmates. Leader of the drums, Wilson, was great. Much ...

Fun times on a great ship!

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Panorama

2-5 Cruises • Age 60s

Embarkation: We always stay at the Hotel Maya in Long Beach the night before our cruise. We book the Park and Cruise package which includes the room, eight nights of parking, and a free shuttle to/from the Carnival cruise port which is about a five minute drive. We had FTTF with a 12:00 arrival appointment. We decided to head to the port early. We arrived at 10:40, dropped off our luggage, and ...

A nice Fall break on the Panorama

Review for a Mexican Riviera Cruise on Carnival Panorama

We had a nice Fall break on the Panorama if you are looking to get a taste of cruising with kids (12-14yrs) The pricing was really reasonable. The kids group was really lacking attention for pre teens. They had to make their own fun with the other pre teens. I would only rate comedy shows and productions as fair. Cruise Director Jerry was great. Had some Halloween activities which were nice. ...
