Right off the top the ship’s layout is dated and confusing. Almost every level of the ship is dark and gloomy even on the brightest of days. Getting to our cabin we were met with the most putrid smell both in the cabin and throughout the hallway. To the very last day the smell was present. A dinner credit was allotted to my mother-in-law to help resolve the issue and this meal (had at the sushi ...
We picked this specific itinerary, and because Celebrity does not do a FULL transit, in the winter. We did do a Princess Cruise in 2020 but did not like it at all.
Having not sailed with NCL since 2018 (previously 6 cruises), (we did 3 Celebrity, and 1 Princess in between), we definitely noticed the cut-backs, and the nickel and diming that NCL has been accused of.
Embarkation was a ...
We selected this cruise line and ship for the purpose of celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary. While the first day went smoothly, we encountered issues when it came time to sleep. The stateroom had a significant amount of creaking and knocking sounds, which greatly impacted our ability to rest. Throughout the seven nights, we were only able to get one decent night's sleep, leaving us feeling ...
We chose this short cruise with family from brochure advertising. The program to register for this cruise was updated once and was the cause of hours of needless searching to complete registration. Despite the continuous hype on the last full day promoting a 10 star cruise, our experience was less than satisfactory. One waiter’s rude attitude at an evening meal caused us to reevaluate the ...
Chose because it was convenient and did not have to fly anywhere to catch cruise. Getting on ship was great - Gigi's Pizza and Sushi Bar were the best things onboard. They lost our luggage because paper tags were removed however, our luggage tags with our names were on the luggage but no one was clever enough to look our name up. Called downstairs at Pursers office at least 10 times and no ...
If all you do is drink then this cruise is for you! There was nothing to do for us since we don’t drink. I went with my husband and our two sons in their twenties and we just wondered around and played cards that we brought. The deck was too cold and windy to do anything. So the ping pong and basketball court was out. With all that space on a big ship it would be nice to have an indoor game room ...
We went to get out of winter for a week and a 60th birthday.
I don’t understand the small beds. Get rid of the stupid night table and at least 2 full sized beds. I put mine on the floor as I fell out. Improvement in comfort of beds. Room steward was lovely.
However the food is mediocre all the way. Except the steak house which cost over a $100.
Pasta tasted like it had been made with ...
Our cruise on Viking was so-so at best. I will be avoiding that cruise line in the future.
LAX as a major departure/arrival airport and San Pedro as the cruise port are EXTREMELY unsuitable and inconvenient. I have no idea why Viking selected this terrible combination as one of their two basic ports (the other being New York -- can you believe it?).
There was hardly anything for us in the ...
Only giving 2 stars as the ship is new, very nicely decorated and cabins are clean, spacious and lots of storage. Thats where it went downhill. Please see attached photos, I am not making this up.
- Buffett frequently empty/not refilled. Empty pots everywhere. Coffee machine broken for 2 days yet no one seemed to know. No signage.
- Broken coffee machine, hot water machine, glass flooring ...
There are only 2 small pools in the carnival panorama and were NOT heated pools. My kids were really disappointed with the pools and none of us enjoyed the pools at all despite how small and dirty the pools were.
The foods were just average, MDR foods presentation were soso, but at least MDR was the only place I was willing to have dinner, not much choice. I didn't want to eat their buffet at ...
