I've gone on Carnival, Norwegian and Royal Caribbean. Norwegian has the best dining with Specialty Restaurants but other than that it's a very boring ship. Too many children running around unattended, hot tubs full of children. I went on Oosterdam 2019 and had a fun trip but unfortunately the Zaandam did not come close. The ship was full of walkers and disabled vehicles, the ship was dirty and food mediocre. First off I must say the crew was wonderful. The finest ever and very nice.
We had sailed on Celebrity many times before Covid and really liked it. I especially remembered the warm welcome as they handed us a glass of champagne….but that was several years ago. Not anymore!

Close by, my birthday and value was the reason for choosing this cruise to Cabo.

We chose this trip as it was billed as 'active' and showed much promise. Wow were we disappointed.
First off be aware that NatGeo cruises are expensive. Very. So hey attract a primarily elderly clientele. I'm in my sixties and was one of the youngest passengers. As a result the movement of people is slow. Painfully slow. Getting on and off zodiacs and shore is a real chore.
