got a call from NCL representative about expiring deposit so picked a local port. was assigned cabin 8001 by NCL. Very noisy when coming into port there was a generator that started about 630 or 7 and 330 when we came into LA. also for what ever reason the guest in the adjoining cabin never stayed there and the hangers in the empty closet were banging all night at sea--staff dod try to resolve ...
This was the first cruise I have ever taken and it will be the last thanks to NCL.
The food was horrible. The buffet was down right inedible at time. The worst was the nacho cheese that was just colored water, not even flavored. Who was ever in charge of the buffet should be made to eat that nacho cheese as punishment. The juices were heavily watered down to save on money and all the buns ...
The ship is too old, the cabin too small even though I book a balcony # 522 and my friend and inside cabin #507 was way bigger, great for her but I was not very happy.
Dinning, were to start the main dinner room food was so so must of the time not good at all, now the specialty restaurants are amazing food and service A+ but then again you have to pay additional for it. Service was fine but ...
Our main reason for selecting this cruise was the convenience of traveling out of a local city (San Francisco) with no flight required. The cruise had a nice mix of time at sea and time in ports. The ship was very seaworthy and comfortable. The ship's operating crew members were very professional and efficient.
Boarding was efficient and boarding personnel were helpful. Off boarding did ...
My first cruise was the Island Princess, loved it. Six years later, I find Princess has removed ALL access to the promenade deck in both the rear and front of this ship. The rear is blocked off to add ten or twelve large suites. The front is walled off so a few officers can sun themselves in privacy. As a customer, there is no access to the fantail even on the top deck (sanctuary). Princess offers ...
We chose this cruise for 2 reasons, first we wanted to see the Panama Canal, and second we wanted to try Princess since my cousin who is a frequent cruiser raves about Princess.
We arrived in Ft Lauderdale a day early and stayed close to the cruise terminal at the Hyatt Place. At 3 PM the day before the departure, we recived an email that the ship was coming out of drydock and was going to be ...
South America was one of the last places on our to-cruise list. Was a mini-disaster.
The ship was packed with rude people. Lines everywhere for everything. Loud people. Line jumpers. Angry, politically intense people with election-night hangovers ready for a fight. Hall running kids. Hallway blockers slowly and aimlessly walking, weaving back and forth, arm-in-arm down hallways. A ...
We wanted to go to Machu Pichuu, and the the tour company who handled this 72 hour excursion was wonderful--pricey but worth it. I wish I could say that about the rest of the cruise.
My husband and I have been on 60+ cruises between us, from the high end (Regent, Oceana, Asimar) to the low end (Carnival). This was our first (and last) Princess cruise. Some of the reasons include: mediocre food ...
We chose this cruise because the price was good and we wanted to see the Panama Canal. Our previous cruise experiences were with Holland America where we were treated like royalty and fed like Kings! This NCL cruise was just the opposite: the staff were not welcoming (they hardly acknowledged us), the food had no taste, was repetitive and the menus were "meh"--stuff I make at home. Very ...
Chose this cruise because our friends wanted to go and it was a good deal. We'd never been on Norwegian before (we're Holland and Princess all the way). Some of the problems we encountered seemed to be from understaffing, starting with embarkation in Miami. The lines were very long with clearly not enough staff to handle. Even the outside line was confusing; at one point an NCL staff person came ...
