got a call from NCL representative about expiring deposit so picked a local port. was assigned cabin 8001 by NCL. This was the first cruise I have ever taken and it will be the last thanks to NCL.
The food was horrible. The buffet was down right inedible at time. The worst was the nacho cheese that was just colored water, not even flavored. Our main reason for selecting this cruise was the convenience of traveling out of a local city (San Francisco) with no flight required. The cruise had a nice mix of time at sea and time in ports. My first cruise was the Island Princess, loved it. Six years later, I find Princess has removed ALL access to the promenade deck in both the rear and front of this ship. The rear is blocked off to add ten or twelve large suites. The front is walled off so a few officers can sun themselves in privacy.
