I went with my cousin on this cruise from LA to Miami via the Panama Canal. Overall, it was fine, but definitely not the caliber of cruises I had taken in the past (pre-pandemic) with RCC. My opinions are as follows:
Cabin: We had a junior suite, mid-ship, that met my expectation for space and comfort. The beds were very comfortable and the veranda had a lounger, which was nice to relax in. The ...
Our balcony cabin was on Deck 12 towards the aft. Maybe that location explains why we had to endure noticeable vibrations seemingly from the engines all the time. It got so bad at one point (Day 2) that I called Guest Services; they sent a representative to our cabin and confirmed the situation. With apologies and statements to say that the issue would be looked into, that was that. The situation ...
We've sailed the eastern Caribbean many times and wished to experience the Mexican Riviera . Glad we did - these ports are gems. Overall we enjoyed the cruise. Booked and S1 - Sky Suite, deck 12 port aft side. Deck 12 balcony rooms have a "cover" deck from above, so they can remain shaded for periods of the day. If you don't want direct sun - you pick deck 12. Cabin was comfortable, but ...
We recently moved to Arizona and are taking advantage of cruises out of Long Beach CA since we can drive. We did a week long cruise Super Bowl week this year (Mexican Riviera) that was awesome so tried a shorter cruise to Catalina island and Ensenada. Carnival was running a good deal with a $500 credit so we chose an oceanview room on level 2 that was $499 before taxes and fees. It’s our first ...
We chose this cruise to get an extra 4 C&A points to boost us up to Diamond/Celebrity Elite for booking upcoming cruises. Also, we had not been to Catalina or Ensenada before, so this was a reasonable choice of itinerary. Our dates were constrained as well, so we settled on early November for this cruise.
We booked our own flights, and arrived with minimal time due to a 2 hour delay arriving at ...
Booked our cruise for November, to sneak in some couple time before the holidays - its just me and my husband in our late 20s. We chose this cruise as an upgrade from our last Royal Carribean cruise (our first cruise ever!). We even opted for a balcony room vs the interior one we had last time.
I want to share some of the highs and lows of our trip, and a reason we're likely not going to take ...
This was our first Princess cruise and I have to say it was not up to the standard I was expecting. We have cruised with many other cruise lines, P & O, NCL, Marella, Celebrity and MSC.
Pros
* Lovely ship, kept beautifully clean
* Many/Most of the staff were helpful and friendly
* Theatre shows were very good
*. Guest speaker throughout the cruise was excellent - also enjoyed the ...
Wanted to transit through the Panama canal.
Having been on Oceania before we were looking forward to this cruise. Previously we were really impressed with the service and food. Sadly Oceania's standards have dropped greatly.
The quality of the staff on board is not very good. One is constantly trying to get service and often we have had to resort to find the restaurant manager and asking ...
I choose the Vista because of its new design and elegance. I was fully expecting to enjoy the high end Oceania service and quality, but mush to our disappointment it fell far short of the normal service and quality of food. I booked this on opening day over 2 years ago and was looking forward to this marvelous itinerary that showcase our ability to enjoy this brand new ship. Right of the bat the ...
I chose this cruise because my past Norwegian ships such as the getaway and the joy was good and the entertainment on this ship that o heard it was good. The restaurant was good food was good. Most staff was friendly but or at the waterside at the pool pushed me down and didn’t hold on to the tube when I was getting on. I feel and hurt my self. Overall it was ok. The elevators was so busy and it ...
