I picked this cruise as I do every year to get away from the winter cold and visit sunny, warm Mexico. The ports are lovely and time in each is like returning to the familiarity of "home". People are friendly, food is good, and tours delightful. The biggest disappointment is the lack of adherence to rules and failiure to stop those who don't follow. The "formal" night is a joke. We saw people in ...
We took the cruise to 4 Pacific Mexican places because we had not been there. The price and dates were also good for us. The towns were interesting. The Princess excursions were reasonably priced, although some turned out to not have a lot to see. Beaches, sun and drinking seemed to be the main reason many took this cruise.
We were to board at noon. Since we could not connect from our ...
We chose this ship because it was a new ship with 3 hours by flight. We were very excited about the fun amenities.
Getting on the ship was ok. Getting off the ship was horribly long and painful.
We had hoped for entertainment similar to NCL, unfortunately, 80% is comedians.
We visited the casino a few times, it the smoke was so bad it made it impossible to stay very long. I would ...
Warm weather cruise in both the Pacific and Atlantic. Staff was ...as usual, outstanding. The ship was set to be refurbished at the end of this cruise. It needed it. Really could have been discounted because of the needed repairs. Carnival has really fallen off in quality since we started with them nearly 35 years ago. Food quality and entertainment need upgraded. It would have been good to ...
Cruised same itinerary last February aboard the Royal Princess. This year, the Royal Princess was a completely newer and larger ship. Both cruises (inside room only) were complimentary through a casino promotion . Last year for a small fee was able to upgrade to a cabin with a window. Window rooms do not exist on the 'new' Royal Princess, so this year had to upgrade to a balcony room for a ...
On so many levels we wanted this cruise to be epic because we had my MIL and my sister with us, both first time cruisers. Having cruised on Carnival and other Cruise lines in the past we didn't sway their judgement one way or the other. We wanted their honest unbiased opinions without our input to see if we were just being too judgmental and comparing our past cruises to this one.

We chose this cruise because we were looking for a shorter trip to a warmer area on the West Coast. We had a deluxe balcony cabin mid aft. It was smooth sailing, quiet and we enjoyed the verandah. I went to the fitness center every AM and then had breakfast either at the Horizon Bistro or MDR. Meals were okay, tea was fun, but we liked the pizza at Alfredo's.The dinner at the Crown Grill was ...
We stayed in Suite 11221, which was a beautiful comfortable room but I would advise people to avoid this particular cabin and the ones around it unless you don't want to get any sleep. This suite was directly under the weight room in the fitness center and meatheads above us were slamming and dropping heavy weights on the floor (our ceiling) from 8 am on. The fitness center was supposed to close ...
Chose this because dates lined up perfectly with kids school break. Also a desire to go to Hawaii. It was made much more difficult due to a sick passenger, and returning to Honolulu 2 days after leaving. Add to that very high seas/winds and big storms making it difficult to enjoy the ship. Cruise did not stop in mexico as planned, and still returned far later than planned.
Absolutely ...
This was our 3rd cruise with NCL, 15th in total. We choose this cruise for the itinerary.
I must say, being European and living in a mediëval city our expectations are high. You can not surprise us with a 19th century church. So history/culture and nature are the things we want to see. (CC why no history/culture in "Which of the following apply to your review?")
We booked a balcony on deck ...
