Our 2nd cruise with MSC. This time on World Europa out of Barcelona. Flew into barcelona the night before and stayed in the Fontair Congress near the airport. The hotel had a cruise and stay package, so free pick up from airport, room, breakfast and free transfer to the port. Hotel is 10 mins from airport and 25 mins from the port. Next to the hotel is a shopping centre, and a ...

I am currently on the Jewel of the Seas on the TA cruise from Fort Lauderdale to Southampton. We flew to Miami on the 4th April with American Airlines. This was the first time flying with them and I was very impressed with the whole experience. There was more leg room than with other airlines we had used in the past and the boarding process was much more organised. The airline crew were very ...

No more P&O for us

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Azura

We will not travel with P&O again, having done many cruises with them previously. The food was poor, even in the main dining room. Eating nice food is what you look forward to on a cruise but the evening meal became an issue many nights ( lack of variety in the menu, desserts we couldn't eat, no variety in the vegetables, steak requested medium and arrives well done, dry and tough. The ice cream ...

A cruise with good entertainment

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Costa Pacifica

Embarking and disembarking were easy and quick. The cabin (although was a little small) was comfortable and clean. The food (dinner) was a little disappointing in terms of portion but is very tasty. The facilities were good but i was expecting a little more things to do while sailing. The pools and hot tubs were always busy so didn’t get to enjoy them. However, we found ourselves enjoying a vast ...

Seabourn Wins!!

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on Seabourn Ovation

We’ve spent the last year “comparing” luxury cruise lines, sailing in the Retreat on Celebrity several times (including the maiden voyage of the new Ascent) and testing out Regent’s brand new Seven Seas Grandeur . . . While we enjoyed them all, we believe our 2 voyages on Seabourn Ovation to be significantly better in almost every respect. The Ovation, launched in 2018, was the “oldest ship” we’ve ...

Better than expected after reading other reviews

Review for a Europe - British Isles & Western Cruise on Arvia

This was a 1st family holiday, booked by our daughter and SIL, travelling with our granddaughter and inlaws. We have all cruised many times before and after reading the poor reviews I went with very low expectations. I think many of the reviews are unfounded. YEs the ship is huge but rarely felt mobbed even though this was the Easter holidays and the ship was full. Embarkation was a lot slower ...

Worst Cruise Experience

Review for a Transatlantic Cruise on MSC Grandiosa

I would like to give ZERO star, but I can't. MSC is a low, low, low quality cruise. If you like good food, avoid it. The meals offered are POOR and quality not so good. Staff if not well trained (specially customer service). The "juices" offered during breakfast time aren't juice: it is like a water with something with a horrible taste. This is my 7th cruise and the worst that I ever been. Even ...

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Sun Princess

Whilst not everything on the ship is working, deck 19, the rest of the ship is fantastic. We had a mini suite. Thd cabin is well appointed, slightly disappointing that there was no coffee machine in the cabin but as we could get fresh coffee and drinks on the lido, literally just a 1 min walk from the cabin or use ocean now delivery, so not the end of the world. The restaurants are fantastic with ...

Good and bad and ugly!!!

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Sun Princess

Ship wasn’t ready to sail. Customer service was horrible! Not enough seating in Eatery and Arena. Most show in Arena were rock music, sound was too loud for ears, could damage hearing in long periods of time. Huge ship, but felt so crowded. No quiet public area, except Dome which didn’t open till our second half cruise starting 4/8/2024. Bed and pillows were comfy, nights were ...

1st MEDITERRANEAN CRUISE

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on MSC Fantasia

We enjoyed the cruise and everything that went with it. We were not very impressed with the on-board shows. We expected more from a Mediterranean cruise. On previous local water (SA) cruises the shows where very entertaining. As one can expect from a mainstream cruise, there were a lot of passengers which made meal times a nightmare. Doesn't matter if you go earlier or later. I guess one should ...
