I had always cruised on smaller lines, but could not find a small ship which would fit in with my travel dates. The ports were interesting and my husband and I wanted to try a bigger ship
Unfortunately the ship although large does not have enough elevators, I used the stairs most of the time. The elevators are slow and overloaded.
The food was very tasteless, and the specialty restaurants ...
One of my best cruises ever in 50 years of cruising. I chose the 14 night sailing from Southampton. Ship is a beauty and very well managed. Crew were friendly and helpful and food was plentiful and of a good quality. The ship was kept very clean by hard working staff. The lifts are amazing and hold 20+ people. It was Scottish half term holidays and there were many children on board and the ship was ...
It was the first cruise the TUI travel agent found which went to Barcelona. It sounded great we paid for a balcony cabin each so very expensive. It was the opposite of luxurious. Far too many people on-board approximately 6500, 1400 of which were children. We chose 1July as it is before schools break up for summer holidays. Travel agent didn't warn us that in Scotland schools close much earlier. ...
This was our 15th cruise....3rd time with MSC. We sailed out of Southampton on a 14 day cruise to the med and back. We were initially excited about experiencing MSC's newer ships however our excitement quickly turned to resentment! The ship was sailing at capacity and it was VERY crowded. Not enough deck space or sunbeds for passengers on sea days which lead to arguing between passengers and with ...
We booked this cruise 18 months in advance based on the ports then the itinerary changed without us being told. Only found out when we came to book excursions. Also none of the assurances given in the Tui shop were true.
All inclusive - well technically it is, but having paid for premium AI the number of drinks they ran out of made it very unworthwhile. They also ran out of food items ...
We travelled with 6 others of our family & friends. It was the first Viking experience for all of us. We all were very impressed with every aspect of the entire cruise. The staff is top notch and very well trained in taking great care of the passengers. The ports of call were wonderful and the included excursions were pretty good for the most part. It would be nice to have a longer time in each ...
This was our first Holland America experience after sailing on Royal Caribbean and Carnival. We picked this cruise because it was one of the few lines that visit Istanbul. Athens, Mykonos, Istanbul, Crete, and Olympia we’re all great ports. Things that were a disappointment on the ship: entertainment was sparse, food/drink service was not available at all times and ended at 11:30pm, and ...
We have always wanted to cruise the Mediterranean. We have done several cruise lines over the years - this was our first Viking Cruise. We loved the smaller boat that didn't sacrifice on quality in any way. The staff was beyond courteous, the rooms were kept spotless, the food options were great. It was such an stress-less way to travel! It was disappointing to have Split, Croatia dropped ...
My wife and I have usually traveled around the world with bikes or just on our own and I always said I would never do a cruise. When I saw that the Atlas World Navigator took fewer than 200 customers on a cruise, we decided to try it. I had wanted to go to Ephesus for a long time and decided to try the Atlas Greece/Turkey ten-day cruise. The Atlas cruise definitely exceeded my ...
Having experienced a yacht style cruise for the first time I felt compelled to post my impressions.
We have cruised on ships from 800 passengers to 2600(only 1x) and have spent almost 1 1/2 years in cruising since 1984.
Just returned from three cruises on Atlas Ocean Voyages, World Navigator. What a wonderful way to travel.
The intimate cruise experience understates our impressions of ...
