OK I have read all the reviews about this ship and had very low expectations. We are an Irish couple who have cruised with Royal, NCL and mostly Princess and a few MSC. The price was good and we thought well it can’t be that bad.
It was a great cruise.
Food excellent good variety and quality. Tip avoid the buffet it is a bit manic. Go to the dining room for breakfast lunch and dinner and ...
Viking is an exceptional cruise line in so many ways. The ship was immaculate - rooms are cleaned daily and the turn-down service is nice. the friendly staff get to know your names. The port talks were interesting and well-Dione, and the educational lectures enriched the journey. The excursion options are broad — there are many to choose from, and always one is included in the price of the cruise. ...
We always wanted to make a trip to Europe to visit all the beautiful countries we’ve only heard about. This was a lifetime trip for us and we heard such good things about Viking from friends and coworkers. We choose Viking because they were able to handle every aspect of the trip from point A to Z. Since we never traveled this far to countries outside of the US we felt safe in allowing Viking plan ...
Had the opportunity to cruise with Viking for the first time recently. We've done 21 cruises with most of the major players out there, and a few of the premium lines.
Positives:
- Very clean cabins with 2X day housekeeping
- No cruisers under 18 years of age
- Perfect sized ship
- No upsell once on board
- Embarkation / Disembarkation very easy
- Decent selection of Video On ...
Decided to try Msc cruise line as been on. P&o Marella and royal Caribbean.. wow was my first thoughts when boarding ship .. it looked amazing.. lovely big ship .. staff were great only one member wasn’t that good in buffet area .. but didn’t affect our holiday .. our room was an inside cabin on deck 12 plenty room maybe more hangers .. housekeeping not as good as other ships .. but still ...
POSITIVES:
We booked a Fantastica package with one device Wifi and premium drinks package.
The balcony cabin on Port side deck 10 was lovely. Spotlessly clean, roomy, comfy bed and compact shower/bathroom. The TV had mostly non-English speaking channels but this did not bother us.
The quality of the food in the complimentary restaurants and buffets was very good. We ate breakfast in Il ...
Just back from 1Wk on World Europa from Barcelona, last min birthday present. As it was a January trip, fleeces and jackets were packed. We have done this Med cruise several times before on different ships, so we know the ports, know the script etc.
The ship is quite new, and as my other half can get affected by choppy seas, we decided to take an inside cabin, which faces the “promenade” view ...
MSC WORLD EUROPA - I have just come back from a 7 night cruise trip in the Med. Having been on the Seashore I must say that the World Europa ship got me a little bit disappointed. The layout is not as good.
Excellent:
Animation team.
Outdoor areas.
Good:
Cleanliness.
Most of the bar staff.
Food ( apart from the food poisoning from mussles).
Bad:
-Layout.
-Promenade ...
The ship looks beautiful and really modern, was very impressed on the 1st day; then things got worse:
When the sea was rough and very windy, the ceiling panels made such loud sounds that we couldn’t sleep. They listened to the videos for 3am, 5am with the loud noises; but still need to wait until it happens again and checked by the carpenter before we can change cabin. We were already near the ...
This was our first ever ocean cruise and our second Viking cruise (the first was a wonderful Viking River Cruise on the Rhine), and we couldn't have been happier! Our cabin was lovely and spacious, with a big balcony; the food was delicious (fantastic variety and so many great venues to choose from -- we had some of the best sushi I've ever had and the desserts were fantastic); the entertainment ...
