Wonderful gluten and dairy free cruise!

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Pride of America

I sailed on this cruise as someone who cannot eat gluten or dairy. I was very skeptical that the staff and chefs could accommodate my food issues. I was very pleasantly surprised. I had contacted special needs several months in advance, and also since we upgraded to a suite, I contacted the preconcierge. She was able to tell me about all of the gluten free products available onboard. It ...

I chose this cruise because it gave me the opportunity to visit all of the main islands in Hawaii. After reading many reviews by previous travelers I was worried. The biggest complaints involved the actions and attitudes of cruise staff. Many people said that since it was basically and American crew ;you did not get the service that comes with crews of other cruise lines. People talked about ...

A group of friends chose the tour and we wanted to go with them. Going to the islands were terrific and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had not gone on a cruise in over 10 years, but disagree with the forced gratuity imposed by NCL as well as extra charges for dining and WiFi. There is a $13.50 charge per person per day to make your bed and provide towels. They didn't even change ...

Destination, destinations, the cruise was amazing, a journeys cruise with lots of extras to a normal cruise. Staff were wonderful. Ship was clean and the food was fantastic, we had foods from all the different islands, so much fresh fruit and a added midnight buffet. I really can not fault anything about this cruise , it was everything we wanted plus more. We stayed in 4k, great part of the ...

Let’s start with the ambiance ….utterly amazing walking onto the boat you get the feel of class and royalty with 1st class treatment the boarding process you can’t avoid but from the second you walk onto the boat you are nothing short of amazed at every level of the ship from the Cafe al Bacio to the Gelateria to Specialty Dining. Being mid ship is pure beauty while on board and the atmosphere ...

Have just arrived back from the 18 night Tahitian cruise from Hawaii across to Sydney and have to give the greatest praise for the staff of this wonderful ship. In perspective we are a couple in our mid 50's recently retired and love mixing with new people ..and certainly we were able to meet lots new friends onboard. We had a balcony cabin mid ship (7157) and it was very comfortable and ...

We chose this cruise to celebrate our 70th birthdays and the fact that we could spend a month with our daughter in Melbourne after docking in Sydney. Food is OK, only two new choices each day for starters and mains and desserts. Many extra restaurants for which premium prices are paid. Staff are excellent and friendly. Entertainment is very disappointing, mainly solo artistes who are not to ...

Boarded ship in Honolulu and was onboard within 30 minutes. Went straight to Grand Epernay dining room for lunch. Bags arrived promptly except 1 which went astray but turned up early evening. Stateroom was Concierge 2102 up on the 12th Floor nearest the lifts. DO NOT choose this cabin as it has a storeroom right next door and then a ladies toilet. Being located close to the lifts was handy, but ...

We had some niggles/problems during the first few days of our cruise: butler was rather absent, especially when time to help us unpack, non-existent staff on deck 16 when sunbathing and wanting a drink, or even a mat for the wicker sun lounger, some false charges on the account etc etc; however we addressed them with the ship and plans were immediately put in place to ensure the rest of our ...

We chose the Celebrity Solstice because it was rated Australia's best cruise ship 2015 and the ports of call, Hawaii, Lahaina Maui, Bora Bora,French Polynesia, Papeete,Tahiti, Moorea, French Polynesia, Auckland, Bay of Islands New Zealand, and Sydney Australia. The ports of call were great, but as seasoned travellers we did not use the ships shore excursions as they are always over priced by ...
