Merry Christmas & Happy New 2019

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Emerald Princess

Whenever my only child informs me that she won’t be spending Christmas with us, I immediately look for a trip to Hawaii. This is the first time we cruised there. Cruise ship is one we had been on before, and it was leaving from my home city. We had a lovely time. I was on a mission to see the parts of Kauai that can’t be seen by car. Our Christmas gift to each other was a Sunshine Helicopter ...

First and last

First ever cruise with Princess, but will also be our last. We have cruised with three other cruise lines previously, never have we been so disappointed. We were thinking perhaps our unpleasant experiences were a ‘one-off’ with Princess but having spoken with several Elite level passengers who had decided ‘enough was enough’ and that they would no longer cruise with Princess due to ongoing cuts ...

Ship was average. Not as good as I had expected or heard about Norwegian. The ship is basically a place to sleep at night and get food before you go explore the islands. The buffet food was average. It was the exact same breakfast every morning and the dinner selections were average. I was disappointed they serve hamburgers & hot dogs in the buffet every night since there are other places ...

Visit the Hawaiin Islands

I chose this cruise because we wanted to visit the Hawaiian Islands and didn't know which islands. We also chose this one because it offered several in port hours and it only took up 7 days. We arrived from Ohio 1 day before the cruise and visited Pearl Harbor. The ship was about the same size as another cruise we'd done with Carnival. If you work out, it had a nice facility at the top and a ...

Big disappointment

I went on a cruise 30 years ago and couldn't wait to take my husband and go again. This was such a disappointment. I guess when they have no competition, this is what happens. They are the only ship allowed to tour the islands without starting at a port in the mainland. You pay for all food included, then find out that they want you to upgrade and pay more for the decent restaurants. The food ...

Hands down best Hawaiian itinerary

If your looking for the best Hawaiian experience, this is the best option. The cruise’s strength is that is has the best itinerary hands down of any other ship. There is enough time at the two main ones (Maui and Kauai) but a great opportunity to see Hilo and Kona which would likely not be on your radar. Each island has its own feel and it’s the perfect amount of time on each. The ship ...

Best way to experience more than one Hawaiian Island

First time cruiser, so much of the information below was gleaned from that perspective. I'm a planner, and want to have information before a trip begins... We chose this cruise because my mother (Deaf, senior citizen, mobility impaired) wanted to see "all" of the islands, for the last state on her list of visiting all of the United States. Of course, seeing ALL of the islands isn't ...

Best way to see Hawaii! Veteran cruiser 3rd time on Pride of America Review (Dec 15, 2018) Background to review: This review will be slightly different than past reviews. I will concentrate more on tips for traveling the islands and excursions than on the cruise and the ship. This cruise is different than others since you are in port every day. It is like have a floating hotel room. ...

AMAZING ADVENTURE

We researched numerous Cruise Lines, but Norwegian was the only one that made stops at 4 Islands and offered so many Shore Excursions. We'd never sailed with Norwegian before, and wanted to take this opportunity to do so. We could not have been more pleased. We setup all of our excursions through Norwegian, added the pre-paid gratuities and special dining online. All were wonderful. We ...
