Great way to see Hawaii but sub-par service

We found this cruise to offer the best Hawaii itinerary. We have only ever cruised on Disney Cruise Line and this did not even come close to comparing. YES, Disney is worth the extra expense. We found out not even 24 hours before we were supposed to board that the ship would be setting sail a day late due to a maintenance issue. We were allowed to board the ship anyway and were offered ...

This ship is terrible. Make sure you know, this is a ship to see the islands, but there is nothing to do on the ship, the entertainment is so weak, compared to other ships we have been on, you go to visit the destinations, then look forward to great dinners /entertainment on the ship, not on this ship, the islands were great, then you get back on the ship, and there is nothing to do, and food is ...

Great way to island hop. However, the ship is old with continual problems with the toilets that would not work despite the best efforts of the maintenance crew. In attempts to address the problem the ship was held in port an extra day which robbed us of a day in Maui which was for us a primary reason to travel halfway around the globe on this trip. This problem was not isolated to just a part of ...

I booked 4 cabins for my 3 sons, their wives, my 4 year old granddaughter, and myself. We were on an 8th floor with balcony room. We purchased the pre-cruise one night hotel package at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. We were talked into a $50 upgrade, which wasn't worth it. Pre-cruise, we called several times to ask about the dining package, the post cruise airport transfer, and a charge that was ...

For a holiday cruise we chose the Hawaii trip. We enjoyed the ship but it was crowded. Lines were often formed at the coffee shop and restaurants. I don’t like how the Lido Buffett is situated because it’s so congested and crowded and there is no real traffic pattern. The captain was the best! Very congenial and always visible. The entertainment was great and good movies too. We loved the ...

The service was very good and the food was good. Our stateroom was huge and our view was excellent. The ship looks good but needs a refit. Many staterooms had water problems including ours. The elevator buttons wouldn’t always work. The jucuzzi jets didnt work in the solarium area. I love to dance but found the music selection poor plus no singles. I did the hula class which was ...

Whenever my only child informs me that she won’t be spending Christmas with us, I immediately look for a trip to Hawaii. This is the first time we cruised there. Cruise ship is one we had been on before, and it was leaving from my home city. We had a lovely time. I was on a mission to see the parts of Kauai that can’t be seen by car. Our Christmas gift to each other was a Sunshine Helicopter ...

We chose this cruise because my wife is several weeks pregnant. So we wanted to go to Hawaii to avoid any places with Zika. This was our last opportunity to vacation since both of us are very busy and rarely get much time off. And with the baby coming later this year its only going to be harder. If we had known that Princess was going to be so bad we would have flown to Hawaii and stayed in a ...

Platinum level cruisers, so typically pick Princess first, but about 4 years since our last cruise so noticed a big difference especially in quantity/quality of staff. Nice enough cabin, outside window, very clean and a good location. But cabin stewards used to ALWAYS address us by name beginning with the minute we boarded, and that is so not the case anymore--didn't happen once. I have agree ...
