Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Pride of America

The cruise itself was okay. The wait staff was terrible. We had a waitress take our order and left. We had to grab someone else to take our order again. Our toilet broke and we had to wait until the next morning for someone to fix it. Fortunately we had an elevator outside our room and we could go down 2 floors to use a public restroom. We slept with our clothes on. The worst thing was we ...

Chose this cruise because we wanted to explore the Hawaiian Islands. The food was amazing - the main buffet breakfast , lunch and dinner amazing! Once the main buffet closed a little buffet above the pool would open serving hotdogs, burgers etc. the chef made fresh cookies everyday which were AMAZING!!! Hot warm soft and delicious. Brian from the Cadillac diner was our favourite server. On ...

One Huge Negative

There were many things to recommend about the trip/ ship, but a few things you should know. First, the good. The entertainment was pretty great. My cabin was just fine. The specialty restaurants had great food. The buffet was pretty good. The acupuncturist seemed excellent. A couple of the parties were very fun and memorable - like the one for crossing the equator - blackness all ...

We chose this cruise because we were planning to fly to Hawaii and stay in Lahaina at a hotel or an Airbnb.Instead we found this cruise at a very reasonable price and decided to do two things, going back to Hawaii again, and doing it at a cost less than previously planned.Pluse we really enjoy the cruise expierence. We had several problems from start to finish, however i will say that the ship was ...

Poor quality food in dining room, obvious staff cut backs in all areas of the ship

Longer cruise than the usual 7-14 days, expected more bang for your buck as we are diamond plus but this voyage fell well short of the mark. We ate mostly in wind jammers as the main dining food was not up to standard, so menu repeated for the entire cruise and not a lot of anything decent to choose from. ( you could go to wind jammers and get the same food) without having to wait for slow ...

3rd and last Norwegian cruise

We choose this cruise for the itinerary and because our previous experiences on Norwegian had been good. Previously we had booked balcony cabins but since we brought our kids and grandkids we booked 2 ocean view cabins. I expected a tight cabin but I didn't expect such poor room service. The room was only serviced once a day, usually after lunch. We got fresh towels and the beds were straightened, ...

A Good Way to Visit the Islands

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Pride of America

We, two couples, selected this cruise because of the itinerary, to see the islands. Also, we decided to go with the 3-day tour package in Honolulu up front. NCL was the only cruise line to offer that format, without sailing from the west coast. I read all the reviews in advance, so no surprises about the ship experience. I knew going in that staff shortages and cost cutting affected the ...

Some good but more bad.

Entertainment was hit and miss. More misses. The Hawaiian couple were very talented. Not only performing each day but even teaching ukulele and hula to passengers with a presentation at the end. The ship singers and dancers performed 2 shows over a 15 day cruise, really? The other nights were comedians, magicians, and game shows. The destination and subject matter speakers were good, even if ...

The Tarnished Crown

This was our 23rd cruise with princess. First time on the Crown. This is also the first time we were disappointed in a cruise. Embarkation was smooth and efficient. My wife had wheelchair assist from the terminal door to our cabin door. We even got scanned for location of muster station on way to cabin, saving a trip later. Our balcony Baja deck cabin was all the way aft on the Starboard side. ...

Not a bad cruise

Embarcation and Debarcation is very smooth. Staterooms were fine, stateroom host went above and beyond. Food was ok, some entrees in the MDR were better than others, servers in main dining room need to be trained more. Food in the Aloha cafe was sub par for the most part. We as passengers need to be more polite to each other. The buffet should not be considered as your last meal forever. ...
