This is by far and away the WORST cruise we have ever been on and we cruise a couple times each year. We purchased this cruise in June of 2023. This was prior to the Maui Fires. The cruise was to leave Vancouver and start the 6 day Pacific crossing, however due to the Maui fires the two days/nights we were to spend in Lahaina were off the itinerary. Instead Royal Caribbean made the decision ...
Selected this cruise to celebrate my wife's retirement. She wanted to sail to/through French Polynesia. First HA cruise. Despite the warnings about HA appealing to an older demographic (average age is 70), that has not been a problem at all. But after many cruises on Princess & Celebrity, the level of service particularly in the restaurant has been disappointing. The menu descriptions bear no ...
The food in Cafe Blu was horrible. I am a plant eater mostly. My choices were limited and tasteless. My husband found the meats in the Ocean View Cafe to be over cooked. I have noticed on our last 3 cruises with Celebrity that the quality of food has gone down. The entertainment has always been slow, but enjoyable. However, during this cruise the entertainment was unimaginative. I felt like the ...
We booked Aqua class, as had done several times before. Not worth it, and for much less, you get almost the same in other categories, like Veranda or Concierge.
Blu restaurant was always full, had to wait 15-20 minutes every evening, no matter what time we arrived. Breakfast is available between 7.30 and 9. Good but very slow. Seems they are short on personnel. Menu not as good as it used to ...
Good itinerary but unfortunate the ship is very dated, well past its best, a lot of wasted space, ie a huge library, card room , art gallery/ shop all barely used.
Food is average at best and often poor.
Speciality restaurants are no better.
Entertainment, is sparse and is worse than amateurish, at times very embarrassing.
Singers with backing tracks rather than live musicians. ...
We selected this cruise because Son-in-law has never been to Hawaii. We thought it would be good to see multiple islands. We've cruised 4-times with NCL, but NCL refused to accept our old room card as proof. We had read many cruisecritic reviews and set our bar very low. We were relieved the Maui stop was cancelled and we able to spend more time in the other islands. The ship is a beautiful ...
This was the most boring cruise I have been on. The ship itself had little activities. It didn't even have an activities director. There was little going on during the day. Whatever they stated in activities on the website was so lame. The putting green is about a 10'x 10' section. The arcade, the kids had to pay for. There was nothing for kids. I huge unused library. This is for old folks ...
Hawaii as a destination sells itself-you are surrounded by beauty everywhere-but NOT on the actual ship. The ship is very dated and made for an unbalanced experience as you sail from one Hawaiian port to another. I am a travel agent and have sailed on many cruise lines, including many times on NCL. I firmly believe that cruising the Hawaiian Islands is still one of the most cost-friendly ways ...
The crew was very understaffed. A server told us we are short 200 employees. Until NCL fixes this I can't recommend this cruise. The staff was well trained and tried their best. It was advertised the main dining room had a grand piano. They did have a piano, but not one played it. We showed up to the Main dining room for dinner at 6:15 and waited one hour to get in. You would think the dining ...
My wife and I took our very first cruise. We chose Pride of America’s Hawaiian island cruise with all the anticipation of great meals, excellent service and beautiful scenery. The scenery didn’t disappoint but 2 of the harbors that we docked at were industrial parks with machinery rolling most of the day. We let Norwegian arrange our airfare out of Seattle and we went a day early to try to enjoy ...
