Review for a Transpacific Cruise on Celebrity Solstice

My wife has waited for 40 years to see Hawaii but this trip was the worst ever. The ship was very good but the excursions are not set up for passengers with disabilities as there was nothing that could accommodate an electric portable scooter . We saw nothing of Hawaii only the shops around the dock area. The entertainment was so poor that the passengers were leaving the theatre as the shows were ...

This cruise was amazing. All the ports were outstanding. The Solstice is in excellent condition. There were lots of activities for sea days: ukulele lessons, hula lessons, Maori Poi Ball dance, cooking classes, a passenger chorus, outstanding lectures (Pacific Ocean, WWII, Women of Pearl Harbor, Volcanoes etc). Blu and Oceanview Cafe were both great. Crossing the Equator ceremony was lots of ...

We love Hawaii and wanted to do a cruise around the islands, and we thought it would be good to cruise to Vancouver to have a longer cruise and be back close to home. We picked the Solstice because we love the Hot Glass Show they have on board. Embarkation went very smoothly. We arrived around 4pm and went right on. Disembarkation was a big mess. We were told that we should have the transfer ...

Is Celebrity going downhill?

We have booked Aqua Class cabins since introduced on the Solstice. Check in was easy, enjoyable (with happy checkers) and fast. Then check in process took maybe a total of 10 minutes. The embarkation was handled very poorly. A woman named Francine (who was very clearly stressed out and unorganized) was directing the embarkation process. She herded us to a seating area she told us was for Aqua ...

.We have been on more than 20 Celebrity cruises, but this was our first cruise on Celbrity Solstice. We wanted to see Hawaii, as well as enjoy a repositioning cruises. We have always enjoyed the evening's entertainment, especially the production shows, but not this time. The production shows were the worst we have ever seen on a Celebrity cruise. The food was fine, but if you want ...

Cruising from Honolulu to Vancouver

Cruising the Hawaiian Islands was a cruise I have always wanted to do. Booked Aqua Class as sailed with Celebrity before and enjoyed eating in 'Blu' restaurant. It was a great cruise and did not disappoint. I could not rate this cruise as excellent due to a couple of small issues but these did not spoil the cruise in any way. The food on board was very good, lots of choice and deserts ...

My wife and I were celebrating 25 years of marriage and opted for a cruise to commemorate our honeymoon. It was our 5th cruise and first on Celebrity. Staff from the Captain to the management team all the way down to people directly serving us: Room Attendant, Grand Epernay Dining Room Staff, Specialty Restaurant Staff, bars etc: All provided us friendly, attentive and efficient services. We've ...

Pleasantly Surprised

Review for a Hawaii Cruise on Pride of America

My husband and I had a bucket list wish to see Hawaii. We decided the best cruise would be the POA due to its itinerary of islands and the length of stay. Quite honestly we did not have high expectations about the ship based on many reviews that spoke of rude crew, malodorous smells, poor service. We figured this would just be our hotel and transportation. My goodness were we pleasantly surprised! ...

Just what we were looking for

Despite all the negativity about this cruise, we decided to go with an open mind and found it to be exactly what we were looking for - a floating hotel with easy access to islands. First time in Hawaii, we didn't want to hustle with planes taking us from one island to another. We had cruised before and found this to be in keeping with what we expect from cruises. Everything went smoothly from ...
