We took our 3 kids (16, 14, 14) on this trip because they had never seen Hawaii, and they love to cruise. We've sailed with NCL to Alaska on the Star and the Pearl. Before this cruise, we spent 3 nights in Waikiki at the Embassy Suites. The location was perfect, and the breakfast and happy hour were great! The bad news was that we had a crying baby next door that woke us up nightly and the ...

We took this trip to celebrate one son graduating from college, the other graduating from high school and our 25th wedding anniversary. Having cruised before, we knew what to expect. The cabin was a little smaller than on other cruises, but comfortable and well designed with plenty of storage space. Per recommendations on Cruise Critic, we emptied and stored all the goodies in the 'fridge ...

Thursday- Hawaii23 provides a smooth delivery to our hotel the Aqua Bamboo. I prefer smaller hotels and this one was perfect. We had requested a room with a view and were pleasantly surprised to find out our room had 3 balconies. Two had a view of the pool which Aqua has made into a relaxing oasis in the center of the city. The other balcony faced an apartment building but we just avoided going ...

So, to begin with the embarkation was very easy. We had stayed at the Park Shore Wakiki which had a great view of Wakiki beach and for under $100 was a fantastic deal. Roberts Hawaii picked us up on embarkation day at 2 pm very prompt and didn't take long to get to ship. We had flown in on Thursday and spent all day Friday with E Noa tours "Circle Hawaii and Polynesian Culture Center" great ...

This was our first cruise, but not our first time to Hawaii. So I am writing this for other first time cruisers. We had an outside cabin on deck 4, mainly because my wife was concerned about becoming seasick and wanted to stay on the lowest deck mid-ship. However my wife never needed her scopolamine patch and only needed some meclizine. After reading all of the comments about the room size we ...

Embarkation was very smooth as was the disembarkation. Though, we had a flight leaving at 1:30 and the ship strongly recommended we do the 8:00am disembark time slot to be sure we had time. We were at the airport by 9am. Oh well, next time we'll know. When they finally called our floor and we went to our room, we were a little disappointed by the size and overall cleanliness. The bathroom ...

Much has been written regarding the Pride of America. Since my husband and I have wanted to take a Hawaiian cruise for some time, we read all of it. We are three time cruisers, all on NCL, and have been satisfied each time. But the negative comments regarding the POA gave us pause. However, in recent months, things seemed to improve so we booked the 5/28/2011 cruise. We traveled with another ...

I have to say for those who have not been to Hawaii before you will probably love this cruise. For my family, we were just in Hawaii 18 months prior and did the land tour of the islands. We wanted to return as we had a conference in Oahu and thought it would be a fun way to see the islands. Embarkation: It was a breeze. We are latitude members so we got on right away. They presented all of us ...

After a trouble free and efficient registration and embarkation (we arrived at the dock around midday)we spent the first couple of hours on board having a bite to eat and an explore whilst waiting for our cabin to be ready. Around 3pm we were able to go to the cabin and shortly thereafter our bags were delivered. The cabin was a standard sized balcony cabin, what you'd expect these days. ...

One picture says more than thousand words: Here in this thread you can also see pictures:http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1408567We made many of our very best experiences:cabin - space space space - we could have baggage for a world voyage with us and still would have space in our closetsrates - I think with the rate we payed we could only expect "pure transportation" and we got ...
