The trip of our lives aboard the stunning Grace Yacht

Review for a Galapagos Cruise on Quasar Grace Yacht

From the moment we stepped aboard Grace Yacht, we were surprised by the an atmosphere and the attentive service of all the crew. The yacht, with its rich history, offered an incredible cruising experience around what I now consider to be the world's most beautiful archipelago. Our cabin was spacious, very clean and extremely comfortable, and it became the perfect place to get some much deserved ...

We are just back from our excursions to the Galapagos aboard the Evolution and then the trip to Machu Picchu. Both adventures of a lifetime! With their assistance we had an extremely smooth and wonderful experience. The crew of the Evolution was super hospitable. The ship is in excellent condition and was perfect for our small group (7 total passengers), making me feel like Bill Gates! Our ...

My wife and I (mid-50's) did the 10 night Quito and Flora Inner Loop with our two adult children (19, 22). Overall this was a great experience except for covid which I will save for the last paragraph for those of you cruising during covid (hopefully limited to just the rest of 2022). I have tried to provide info here that I wish I had known prior to sailing (so my apologies if it is ...

Magic in the Galapagos Aboard Quasar's M/Y Grace

Our experience on the Quasar cruise aboard the M/Y Grace in the Galapagos, was sublime. Certainly, the Galapagos with its primeval landscapes and unparalleled opportunities to see wildlife up-close is unique. Just as certainly, the Grace is comfortable and elegant, with a timeless cozy charm, though not grandiose or ostentatious. The Galápagos Islands, seen from the home base of the M/Y Grace ...

Arrival Quito: We arrived late at night and there is a Silversea hospitality desk at the JW Marriott. We were told to report the next morning between 8 and 10am for a covid test provided by Silversea in the business center at the hotel. Let me just say that for the four of us travelling together and many other guests, the whole covid testing was the most stressful part of the trip. Rules kept ...

Galapagos! This should be in your top 10 cruise list!

Review for a Galapagos Cruise on Quasar Evolution Yacht

You go through Quito/Guayaquil Ecuador to Baltra or San Cristbol to catch the boat. This is not a luxury cruise. It’s an adventure cruise. Evolution was a leap of fate as finding specific reviews of individual boats was lacking & after a 1 ½ yrs of research I ran across a review that said the staff & guides are what’s important in Galapagos and it was 100% right. The Naturalists and the ...

Galapagos Perfection - x2, I booked twice in the same year!

I went on the same boat last October and booked again because every single aspect of the trip exceeded my expectations. The itinerary and staff ratio led me to book the first time, but the food, accommodations, and crew made it an easy choice for trip #2. The islands are wildly different depending on the season, I definitely recommend going more than once! The guides are excellent and the small ...

I was so excited to go on this trip of a lifetime to someplace that I had just read about and never dreamed I would ever see in person. My two daughters selected this excrusion to celebrate many lifetime events, so I was along for the ride. However, I was overwhelmed with the level of care that we received once we joined the team at Lindblad/Nat Geo. Every aspect of this trip was well planned. ...

A $3500/day prison; brochures completely misleading; activities minimal;

Review for a Galapagos Cruise on National Geographic Islander

I chose this cruise because the brochure promised extensive activities, lots of options and a lot of time in the water. NONE of these were the case. in seven days, we had a total of 2 and a half hours in which we were allowed to swim in the water. The rest off the time we were couped up on the ship except for time when groups of ten or more walked very, very, slowly looking bat the same birds, ...

We were met a the airport and took a motor coach ride to a dock where panga's (inflatable boats) took us to the ship. The embarkation was quick and easy. Our room was very spacious with a large window, closet, and surprisingly large bathroom. The bathroom had a shower with shampoo, conditioner, bath gel provided and were good quality. The bed was very comfortable and the window above the bed had a ...
