We cruise a lot on all different lines and this is the first ship we felt was UNACCEPTABLE. This is especially disturbing since the ship was chartered by Vantage 'Deluxe' Travel which we had heard was a terrific travel company. But, they chartered and continue to charter this ship which has poor accommodations and is not maintained or operated properly. (I tried to post a review like this right ...
Food: Absolute non memorable in anyway. The eggs served are classified with a number 3 stamps meaning these are battery cage eggs. Nowadays these eggs are strictly forbidden in the EU but apparently Regent knows her way to get them on-board serving this animal cruelty eggs to her passengers.
The above only states the way Regent is looking at food quality, animal welfare and at cutting costs. The ...
Holland America gets it right with excellent service and superb food. I was hard pressed to find fault with anything on board ship, so my review centers around the ports….all of which were excellent. It was a great itinerary that gave you a good taste of Northern Europe and the Baltic. In many ports we had some difficulty with our American credit cards that don’t have a chip or a PIN. Debit cards ...
The AMA Certo is a beautiful new ship in the AMA fleet. It is bright and well maintained. We had a category BB cabin on the Cello Deck. At 210 sq. ft., the cabin was compact; the bathroom was even more so. Our cabin had both a French balcony and an outside balcony. The use of the outside balcony was very limited when we were docked because there were so many other riverboats and they tied up ...
I loved my river cruise from Budapest to Romania last August (2014). I am a single woman and was traveling alone. I might have been a bit uncomfortable in some of the places we went if I had been on my own, but since I was with Tauck, everyone was friendly and the tour guides were always sure to keep us well looked after. I had a single room on the lower deck, and was perfectly happy with it. I ...
We are just back from a fantastic cruise on Oceania Riviera from Istanbul to Athens with stops in Nessebar (Bulgaria), Constanta (Romania) for 2 days, Batumi (Georgie), Trabzon (turkey), Sinop (Turkey), Kusadasi (Turkey). Everything was perfect from food to service by all employees. Everybody was smiling, try to help in anyway they can. Everyday was sunny and hot....perfect for visiting...
The ...
We were two couples from Northern England seasoned cruises i must add, and chose this cruise because we had not been to the Black Sea before.Unfortunately some of the usual places they visit were changed on the itinerary because of the troubles in that area.Nevertheless we still enjoyed the cruise.
Embarkation went smoothly although we did have to walk the full length of one ship before boarding ...
The ship is lovely and the employees are wonderful - we are experienced cruisers and we thought most of the staff on board the ship rated five stars plus - maybe the best we have ever enjoyed on the seas. Very professional. We loved our experiences with the staff in most every area of the ship - truly extraordinary! Oceania seems to have a very old clientele - average age seemed around 70 - so ...
This was our second cruise with Silversea and our 8th overall on luxury cruises. We went with Silversea to the Arctic last year and decided to try them again for a cruise on the Black Sea. We were disappointed on several fronts.
1) Customer service at head office
It is non-existent. As in-- my travel agent e-mailed a week ago regarding a complaint (see below) and we have heard nothing. I ...
My wife and I sail on either Oceania or Azamara. We sailed on the Riviera last year. We noticed the staff made a concerted effort to be friendly this time.
Embarkation was very easy. It would have been nice to have been welcomed on board by a crew member and a glass of champagne but that’s a minor point. A nice feature is there are no bothersome ship photographers on board. The food is ...
