5 Star cruising at its best

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Viking Sky

I chose Viking for its reputation and this itinerary. I wanted to experience the many facets of Greece and its islands. Visiting Ephesus was a plus. I had a deluxe veranda cabin, well worth the price. The cabin was large and well appointed. Another perk was the mini bar/fridge, the contents of which were free for the enjoying, including wine and snacks. The attention to detail and the ...

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Jade

We loved the Jade and the cruise. We sailed on the Jade years ago before it was redesigned. The Jade’s balcony staterooms are much better, having larger bathrooms and slightly smaller closets. Bathrooms have a sliding door for the toilet. Loved the stateroom design. NCL figured out how to keep passengers safe during COVID. We were tested before being allowed to board, were tested multiple ...

Excellent experience with Azamara

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Azamara Journey

We were a little hesitant about getting aboard a cruise ship again. The crew and staff of Azamara were excellent, we very quickly realised that we were safer on this ship than being at home. The testing at embarkation was swift and very well organised and we were soon given the clearance to board the ship. A small group of us were shown the emergency drill, then onward to our cabin. The ...

Review for a Europe - All Cruise on Norwegian Getaway

We booked this cruise around late August, having seen a good deal on the NCL website which included the premium beverage package, 250 minutes of wifi and the prepaid service charges. As per the title, this is my first cruise in a decade (last being on Independence of the Seas on Royal Caribbean), and my first ever with Norwegian. The cruise began in Rome, so we grabbed the earliest flight from ...

We did the 15 day cruise from Venus to Rome and it was absolutely fantastic. We are an older couple in our 70's and liked the small ship size. The customer service was excellent. The food was superb and the staff was super friendly. We ate mostly at the buffet and the food was always fresh. We did pig out at the sushi bar as it was the best we have ever had. We will definitely cruise with them ...

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

At first I had a cruise booked on the Rhapsody of the Seas from Venice to Barcelona which got postponed, and then cancelled. I then wanted to do the Harmony but I was lead to believe Italy did not want UK residents due to high Covid levels, so eventually settled for the Jewel out of Cyprus. So we travelled by train from Nottingham to London and then on to Gatwick the day before and stayed at ...

My wife and I booked to cruise with Silversea for 9 nights aboard Silver Moon, their newest ship, around the Greek Islands, Crete and Cyprus. We booked directly with the excellent help of Lawrence Taylor at Silversea with an offer, we could not ignore, of free BA, Club Europe, return flights and $1,000 onboard spend! This cruise was postponed a couple of times due to COVID restrictions so we were ...

Great as always

Review for a Mediterranean Cruise on Viking Sky

We’d never been to Istanbul or the Greek isles. This was our first trip since the pandemic started. Viking was wonderful as usual. Yes the mask thing was aggravating but as far as we know there were no breakouts onboard. Every morning before putting anything in our mouths we were required to spit in a tube and they ran tests for Covid. We felt about as safe as we could. Everything else was just ...

Review for a Greece Cruise on Star Legend

We have just returned from a wonderful 10 days sailing on Star Legend. The ship is in great shape and incredibly comfortable after an upgrade and refit. Our cabin was spacious with fabulous doors leading onto a small balcony, the bed was as comfortable as home which I have never experienced before. So some people may not enjoy the windstar experience, although I have no idea why ( I did hear one ...
