Just returned back in Melbourne, Australia after a month in Europe. After a week in Paris...yum...and 4 days in stunning Venice...we excitedly joined the Spirit for a Mediterranean cruise. We had been on a Celebrity cruise 2 years earlier through the Pacific and just loved it. Stupidly, we expected the same with the Norwegian Spirit.
The Ports were the key interest to both my partner and I and ...
The air conditioning in rooms 1124 and 1126 does not work properly. After number complaints it could not be fixed. I did get 400 credit for each room. But I would have preferred more since it was so hot during our trip. Be warned. The dining was really good. Enjoyed all the food from various differnt venues. The excursions wer over priced. Definitely get those on your own if you can. The ...
My husband was looking forward to this trip for a long time and booked it for our family. I felt so sorry for him because it was a huge disappointment.
Let's begin with packing for the trip. The literature from the cruise line said that there was a dress code for dinner. Casual. ( Specified that shorts were not allowed in the main dining rooms ever for anyone) Smart casual. Dress ...
As a wheel chair user I found the staff ignorant of my needs, there seemed to have been no training re mobility passengers. From getting into arrivals at Venice to departures at Venice 10 days later it was a shambles. We had to wait 45 minutes at Venice for special transport to the ship as the coach couldn't accommodate a wheel chair. When it finally arrived we were taken to the ship and left ...
We have cruised with Celebrity before on the Eclipse and the Silhouette and so had no hesitation in booking again this time on the Constellation. What a mistake! The staff to guest ratio is so low that the service was very poor. We had long waits at the bars and when a member of staff did arrive their attitude was very often surly and sometimes downright rude. The food was very bland and ...
Should be called the Carnival Waiting, because all we seemed to do was wait for everything on the ship. Not enough elevators for the size and capacity of the ship - embarkations and disembarkations were a nightmare at every port. Not enough guest laundry facilities - lines on every floor each night so most had to wait until the middle of the night. Long wait times for activities. My kids were ...
I really used to love Celebrity, the level of service from the personnel onboard was so overwhelmingly friendly and the food used to be phenomenal. However, this last cruise to the Med did not leave me with a feeling of being well looked after and taken care of but more of a this is all part of the routine from week to week.
We booked a Concierge Class cabin but really got none of the former ...
It was not a good experience for a cruise trip. Oosterdam is a very old ship. It even lost all power more than 1 hour during our trip. Besides, I requested a 3-people balcony room but there was no sofa bed in my room. They asked me to sleep to the other room which was very far away from my room and it was so inconvenient. The good thing was that they finally asked somebody else to switch the ...
While in general the RC staff is very efficient and polite they have organizational and maintenance issues that need to be addressed.
The ship had fleas in the main dining hall, deck four, table 156. I was repeatedly bitten on the foot and ankle while having dinner and readily reported it to Customer Services and the Medical staff onboard. I was treated very poorly and was misdiagnosed with a ...
Having cruised once before with Oceania, we were thrilled to cruise with them again. We chose the three day paid pre-cruise on land in Athens including tours, hotels, and food to begin with. The cruise entitled Cradle of History, would start on the third day on the renovated Sirena ship in port in Athens. This cruise included ports in Greece, Italy, Israel, and Cairo.. After arriving in the ...
