We were in Silver Suit #9236: a balcony by the mid ship elevator. I thought it was a great location near the Stabilizers. We hardly felt any motion from Barcelona to Dubai.
We ate Br, Lu and Dn in the Silver Dining Room every day from Day 2 onward. We could have had Lu the first day, but we didn’t know the Silver Dining Room was open till we got to our cabin. I called about Dn the first ...
Chose for the cruise for destination and ports.
Service in dining rooms left much to be desired. Hostesses were rude and made you feel as though you were an imposition and not a guest. Servers were polite but very slow. Had to wait 40 minutes for our brealfast to be served. We watched our food sitting for 15+ minutes, on several occasions, before being served. When it was served, food was ...
We chose this cruise purely for the reason it departed from Barcelona at the time we wished to travel.
This ship was not ready to launch. Our trip was truncated as we had our passports stolen in Barcelona and as a result, we had to disembark in Athens because we could not travel further with temporary passports.
On an inaugural cruise, one must expect irregularities but this cruise was ...
This cruise completed around the world cruising for my husband and I. It had a similar itinerary as one we booked in 2017 with 2 other couples. Unfortunately, serious illnesses in the other couples forced us to cancel that cruise. All are now healthy and we tried again. Very excited about being the first to sleep in the bed, eat at that table, see a show in the theatre etc. We sailed from ...
Now is a good time to write my overall cruise review. We have 4 sea days and two port days left before we get off in Singapore. The cruise has gone blindingly fast. Let's start this in the usual way:
THE GOOD
The itinerary for this trip has been a cultural smorgasbord. From Spain through Italy and Greece, through Jordan and the middle east to Dubai and the Arab rich. Oman to see more ...
The ship is about to go to dry dock for an overhaul. It needs it. Food was lousy. Buffet was barely edible. Dining room food was usually served lukewarm though some was good. We enjoyed the included Asian restaurant.
Our balcony room was small even for a cruise ship. The bed was firm and very comfortable. It seemed like the cabin steward needed more training because every day I had to remind ...
This ship is in need of an upgrade. We were Aqua class so had access to Blu restaurant. The staff were excellent but the food somewhat disappointing, repetative and the vegetables for the whole 2 weeks were the same - carrots, cauliflour! The self service restaurant was dreadful. Heaven help any non-meat eaters or vegetarians. Pasta with tomato sauce, vegetable pizza, salad bar - same every ...
Chose this cruise because it visited a lot of cities I have on my to do list. But sadly this is like a hospital ship. Brothel red style rooms, hospital food (really really bad) and zero energy. Travelers of a certain age, which is the majority, seem to enjoy this hospital/nursing home ship, but if you are not 70+ yet i suggest you avoid at all costs.
The pools are kiddie pools, decor is ...
We have predominately sailed with Cunard but after our fantastic experience with Celebrity we are moving to this cruise line from now on.Every aspect with Celebrity was amazing from the service to the food to the cabin it was faultless. We have cruised with Cunard (Carnival 30 times and the quality and service as plummeted across the entire carnival fleet)
This cruise was Fabulous from the ports ...
we chose this cruise as it was the only one going where we wanted to go, this said we should have heeded as our first trip on this ship was bad enough but, it has had a 'refit' boar ding was slow, on arriving in cabin the curtains, bed runner and cushions looked dirty , the bathroom had black gunk in areas around the bath, storage average. So off we go sail away party consisted of about 6 dancers ...
