We chose this cruise because the itinerary covered ports which we hadn't been to, and it offered a handsome discount because our Antarctic cruise had been cancelled. Also, we were going to be in the area for a family occasion later in the month. The other prior ultra luxury cruise we'd been on was on the Regent Explorer, which won hands down.
These were my problems with the Sojourn:

The process began, first tent show vaccine cards, passports, and covid test results taken in Greece. They told us that we had retake the test at the port since it was not from the last 24 hours. The web site said 3 days before allowed for international cruises. So, they noted this was good to get through their line, but still had to take a test. NCL had taken the Greece required ...
We thoroughly enjoyed our Croatia to Athens cruise on the Emerald Azzurra. All the Staff were marvellous from the cleaners to the Captain. All the destinations, maybe with the exception of Sarande in Albania, which was a bit 'third-worldish', were great. The food was always superb with hot and cold buffets for breakfast and lunch, and table service for dinner.
The 'super yacht' Azzurra was ...
I am a long standing member of the sea-going community, having taken cruises for 36 years, travelling with over 7 lines on over 30 ships of various sizes.
This trip was labelled Lux & we expected a real high end experience.
Unfortunately, it started badly, with a 14 hour journey, hampered by the company booking us on a flight from Manchester to Berlin, then Berlin to Croatia. Bizarre, given ...
We sailed in an obstructed balcony and being experienced cruisers this was a first and it’ll be my cabin of choice in future, so long as not seasonally a time of inclement weather conditions. This is due to the cabin facing forward and therefore whilst ‘at sea’ it could be an issue, not during our June cruise though and the balcony space was huge. Cabin was comfy, bed a little bit firm and very ...
We did R/T Barcelona for 3 weeks or 3 cycles. This ship had people boarding at Barcelona, Rome, Athens (and some at Crete). The cruise had wonderful ports (maybe too many!) and we had a beautiful Eastern and Western Mediterranean trip. Ship was new, clean, lots of amenities, nice staff, little ship movement (even sailing in lots of wind) and generally a wonderful floating hotel from great port to ...
We are a family of 5. 2 adults and 3 teenagers. We travel extensively and we’re looking for a fun way to explore the Adriatic. We chose this cruise because of the 18 day itinerary and the room sizes. The cruises were only half full. We enjoyed all of our dining experiences in all of the restaurants. The staff knew our preferences quickly and we enjoyed everything. The staff were fantastic. We ...
We went on a 2 week cruise of the Mediterranean and should have booked for 3 weeks to complete the cruise. The staff was courteous and efficient to a degree. The Sanctuary was fully booked and was difficult to get a space even though there were obvious openings (empty cabanas and lounge chairs) I think because the area was understaffed. We had booked Club Class and the dedicated anytime dining ...
The destinations were what inspired us to take this cruise. Entertainment was excellent. The Princess musical group was top rate and thoroughly enjoyed. Excite and others were terrific. Magician was not of the same caliber as the other entertainers. The DJ made the volume unbearable and played the same play list repeatedly. I think he controlled the
volume of the movies during the day. Again the ...
Celebrity Cruises has been my go-to cruise line for the past 14 cruises or so. I find the service level, the dining experiences, the ambiance on the ships and the progressive and contemporary feeling of the cruise line to be most appealing to me.
This time I sas traveling with friends in a small group of four. Three guys in our mid 30's and one lady in her prime age turning 60 during the ...
