We were on the Oct 4th sailing of the Equinox. We went a day early, stayed at Comfort Suites (who provided free transportation from the airport) in Fort Lauderdale, and had a delicious seafood dinner at Dockers within walking distance of the hotel. They had a nice shuttle to the cruise terminal for $10 each.
Due to high swells at Grand Cayman and the tender boats not being able to sail ...
The Positives
The production cast was brilliant!! As we had seen all of the shows before, we were shocked at how well the singers, Ruby, Peter, Joselyn, Mervyn, A.J. and Lucy, along with the amazingly talented dancers, very impressively surpassed all of our expectations. Similarly, the Equinox showband, led by Nick, and the expert aerialists were nothing short of breathtaking This cast is ...
This was our 4th cruise with Celebrity and 26th cruise overall. Our first cruise with Celebrity was on the Reflection back in 2014. Everything about that cruise was amazing and we were wowed. We declared Celebrity our favorite cruise line. We took the Solstice to Alaska in 2015 and while it is identical to the Reflection in terms of ship architecture, the Reflection's interior decor we found more ...
NCL Sky
Pros
1. Movie selections were good
2. Steak and flounder in the main dining room were very good
3. There is a real Starbucks!
4. No dress codes for dinner. Even specialty restaurants so you can be as casual or dressed up as you’d like. Speaking of dressed up, there are no formal nights but there is a GLOW party one night where you can where all white or neon.
5. The late ...
For my first cruise, I selected a good one. I was traveling with three other adults and we all had an amazing trip. I was a newbie but the others had sailed 4 or 5 times previously and that was very helpful to me. The ship was very clean and the staff was constantly working to make sure it stayed that way. The cabin was on level 6A. It did not have a window or balcony but that was not a ...
I got an amazing deal last minute so expectations were not high. we were previously on the all inclusive as a group of 25 in June for graduation. This time maybe because we spent more time on the boat . Buffet: Food was ok never fresh. Variety did not exist. one plus- Ice cream always available and they never ran out of cones. Sports bar food you ordered was good warmer but still not hot to be ...
We booked this cruise at the last minute for my Birthday. It was on sale and we got a killer deal.
Pros.
Loved my group of people. Loved the other cruisers. The pizza & gelato were great. Embarkation was smooth. The port stops were great.
Cons
Boat does need refurbished. (Warped decks, loose tiles in the shower)
Dining room service was awful. At one point we walked out ...
When the night of your cruise is how well the bar staff and your room steward is that should tell you a lot. Twice while dinning inmain formal dinning room our order was lost. We spent over hour 15 minute both times. The menu basically change between 2 different ones.so unless you opt for paying extra for meals dont expect any thing of quality. The back buffet serves hot dog and hamburger till ...
we were in key west i was not feeling good so my wife called the doctor for tylenol the next thing i knew i was on my way to doctors office they told me i was having a heart attack and need to go to hospital the emt came and tried to tell them i was not having a heart attack an i did not need to go to the hospital. the doctor said i needed to leave the ship. they made us pack and get off at 8:30 ...
THE BOAT: I chose this cruise to travel to the Dominican Rep and Grand Turk. Unfortunately, the motor broke on day 2... we could only make it to Grand Turk and got rerouted to Nasseau. The bummer is that a cruise to Nasseau would've been way cheaper, if we had wanted to go there. All they compensated us with was a $50 cruise credit, which doesn't cover the price difference between a Nasseau cruise ...
