Avoid The Independence of the Seas

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Independence of the Seas

It's old. It's small. It's trying to copy the big ships but fails. And therefore it's so crowded everywhere that's popular! Deck 5 -Promenade- is at least 2/3 smaller than bug ships. I (I chose it because the big ships are just too hard for me to explore due to a recent disability) . But people congregate and it gets too crowded to move! Music however was great! The pools...a hard skip unless ...

Oceania Sirena - Miami to Panama City - March 7-17 2024 This was my third cruise with Oceania. The first was the Eastern Mediterranean in 2009, the second was Northern Europe in 2012. I really enjoyed those two cruises; this one, not so much. Based on my experiences on this cruise, it's unlikely I will take a 4th cruise with Oceania. Let's start with the good. The food was excellent. I did ...

Its been 10 years since my last cruise and that was with carnival. We booked a getaway for 3 couples. this was 2 of the couples first cruise ever. we were hoping for a great time, well with that being said. It was not a great or good time. First, i had to get my own luggage out of the hallway. This was 3 hours after being on the boat. wanted to freshen up for the evening after traveling to ...

First and last time cruising

We chose this cruise because, having reviewed all options it seemed the best fit. We were a group of 9, ages ranging from 1 to 75. The checking was chaos and our group got separated, even though we kept telling them we were all together. We had a wheelchair and a pushchair. We eventually found each other hours later. Our cabins were released reasonably early but our cases arrived many hours ...

My positives of the cruise, Galley food is amazing, having free soda machines are great. Pizza and ice cream was really good. Cabin, bed SUCKS. The floor was more comfortable, I slept in the hammock on the balcony. Shower is the best on any cruises I have been on. No annoying announcements on the loud speakers all the time. Negatives Despite the advertisements, you HAVE to ...

First Cruise Ever - Never Crusing Again

Review for a Caribbean - Southern Cruise on Jewel of the Seas

This was my first and last cruise. I am at loss for words… As a first time cruiser I had a lot of things to learn. Just suck that it came at such an expensive price! The only reason they got a 2 is because the service was good and our room was made everyday just like we like it. The food was HORRIBLE - I work in the school system and our lunch lady made gastronomic food compare to this! ...

Ten years ago, we went on Carnival Pride and I swore never again. We said, let's give them another try. Our stateroom attendant was excellent. Our first two mdr waiters were awful No personality, food served warm, once they never asked if we wanted drinks, one of the tables had a great View of the station where they scraped the finished plates... We finally found a table where ...

I am a long-time cruiser with NCL, have sailed exclusively with NCL during these past 10+ years and a Latitude Platinum member. My experience has been generally positive until this recent booking on the Encore 3/3/24 to the East Caribbean. The overall cruise was ok. The ship showed its age, nothing to write home about. The staff were not engaging and not many around. You can sit for hours ...

NCL made this cruise horrible

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Norwegian Encore

We decided to try a large ship for the first time cruise. We did a river cruise some years ago and enjoyed it, but NCL truly messed up. 2 days prior to departure, NCL informs us one of our trips was canceled and the were going to hold onto the money, rather than crediting it back to my credit card. Had to speak to them for an hour to get the refund. Some weeks prior to leaving, our ...

I chose this ship because it was a newer ship. I arrived to find my room was not clean. There was food on the floor, a used shower cap in a drawer, a half empty Evian bottle, and about 50 old wire hangers in the closet. I called housekeeping and they apologized. That was it. Then that night we arranged for fixed dining (same table, same restaurant, same time every night). I told the maitre d that ...
