Excellent Douro River Cruise on the Ms Gil Eanes

Review for a Europe - River Cruise Cruise on Gil Eanes

The Douro River Cruise on the Ms Gil Eanes was spectacular. It was our first river cruise and won't be our last. We booked from Canada through Wingbuddy with about 30 or so other passengers. After spending 2 days in Lisbon, Wingbuddy provided a bus to transfer all of us to board the ship in Porto. From here, the CroisiEurope crew took over. They brought our luggage to our cabins, scanned our ...

A good experience but also bad at the same time.

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Cunard Queen Anne

The ship is great but slow service reduces the amount of stars given 2 hours for a meal, pool was dangerous (sharp edged metal drain cover at the bottom of the pavilion). The food was inconsistent, it wasn't self service so you had to wait for in a long line for a small portion. Don't get me wrong it most likely is a good ship but for a maiden voyage it surely was disappointing (you didn't even ...

A few maiden hiccups but she's a great ship

Review for a Baltic Sea Cruise on Cunard Queen Anne

I had a great time on the maiden voyage of the Queen Anne. Sure, there were a few service hiccups but that is to be expected when you have a brand new team to bed in. I have no doubt that as the crew gel together service will be just as good as on the other Cunard Queens. The MDR was quite slow on the first few nights due to a temperamental IT system but the food was excellent when it did ...

Weather very disappointing

Review for a Europe - River Cruise Cruise on Emerald Radiance

The best thing about this cruise was the great food and exceptional service. The staff and crew could not have been more helpful, treating everyone of the 100 passengers with the utmost respect and kindness.. Several of us were elderly so the listening devices supplied for excursions were very helpful, and assistance to get up and down the slippery slanting gangway was very much appreciated. I ...

NCL Star needs new management

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Star

As a 40year old who has cruised multiple cruise lines, my first experience on a NCL boat makes me consider selling my NCL stock because as a shareholder I don’t believe NCL will be able to entice the next generation of cruisers with the way the operations are run. • La Rochelle Port o We had a private tour scheduled for La Rochelle that we missed 1hr of the 2.5hr tour because the shuttle ...

DON'T BELIEVE ALL OF THE NEGATIVITY

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Viva

Don't understand the harsh reviews this boat has received. Yes, the buffet and central atrium area small and the food quality in the buffet is average to good but that's the case with all of the major cruise lines. If you're looking for a 4-star dining experience in a cruise ship buffet you need to be looking elsewhere. The main dining room was solid. The staff was very good, the balcony ...

First and Last NCL Cruise

Review for a Europe - Western Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Viva

We are seasoned cruisers and always look forward to a new experience. However, NCL is a total nightmare to deal with, from start to finish. We booked the cruise and airfare through NCL the beginning of January. Ten days before our sailing, all of our flights were changed, leaving us scrambling to board the ship on time. We spent an entire day trying to rebook flights, calling NCL and both airlines ...

Lovely new ship

Review for a Europe - Eastern Mediterranean Cruise on Norwegian Viva

There is a lot to like on this new ship. The layout is great with lots of cozy outdoor areas and the decor is fresh. The suite we had was very nice with one exception: no view from our balcony (a club suite) because all you saw was a piece of white steel. Side balconies have lovely views as do other suites higher up. Service was good and personnel were friendly. As much as I liked the ship I ...

Review for a Canary Islands Cruise on MSC Virtuosa

Okay this is a long one! Having been on 8 previous cruises starting in 2010 (Costa Deliziosa, Royal Caribbean - Anthem, Independence x 2, Navigator and Spectrum and P&O IONA x 2), my partner and I decided we would like to to try MSC, and the Virtuosa had an itinerary which fitted in with time off work for us both and places we hadn’t previously visited. This was kind of a ‘make it or break it’ ...

Dont book and if you have cancel! Returned from our cruise 4th may. Really disappointed as this was our 1st cruise and was for my 60th birthday. Everything was absolutely awful. * first complaint, no kettle in room for 3 days. Told they were still at sea somewhere by the room cleaner. * special assistance forms we filled in prior to cruise as i am disabled and in a wheelchair but it was ...
