Review for a Cuba Cruise on Marella Discovery 2

chose this cruise with marella after many years away, cruising with Royal Caribbean, Princess and p&o, as the two cruises ( week each) were going to Central America and Cuba , The Good bits : Ship was better than we expected, modern, clean and well looked after, service and food and drinks were fine and entertainment was ok. Our issue is that we had VERY noisy neighbours who were two ...

Holiday from hell racial abuse and discrimination

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Marella Discovery 2

My mixed race teenage daughter was racially abused by another passenger on the cruise. We struggled to get any staff to take what had happened seriously and after the first incident we were alert to everything and we witnessed several more incidents of discrimination from both passengers and staff. The staff need more training on equalities and customer service. We made several complaints on ...

Floating Care Home!

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Ambience

We chose this as it was a No fly cruise to Cuba. We knew it was cheap with many added expensive extras. 30 year old ship. Most passengers over 70, some on disability scooters. Too few sun loungers so fights broke out. Borough Market was mayhem at popular meal times and windows all fogged up. All junior staff were great. Very clean ship, good choice of food superb waiters. Unable to see ...

Standard has plummeted

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Marella Discovery 2

We have previously sailed on Discovery 2 and had a great time so we were really shocked to see how much the standards had dropped. During our week onboard we never had a hot meal served to us in the 47 restaurant and the only really hot food was at the Snack Shack however when sitting on deck 9 at night there were cockroaches running around most nights There is no policing of the pools, ...

Worst ever!

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on MSC Armonia

This was the worst Cruise line I've ever been on. I took my 20 year old son on it for his first cruise and was embarrassed. The ship's elevator kept breaking down. They changed our itinerary and we couldn't stop at the port that we wanted to see the most. They kept us on their tiny ship that day instead and did not provide any alternative entertainment for us. The entertainment was awful. They ...

This message is to warn anyone planning on having a Carnival cruise wedding to NOT DO IT! If it weren’t for my family and friends the entire memory would be a disaster! I planned a carnival cruise wedding on the sensation on July 30,2019. Upon deciding that I would have the wedding with Carnival I submitted all my documents necessary so that the wedding planner on board would be informed of all ...

Worst cruise of my life

Review for a Cuba Cruise on MSC Armonia

Let me just say that I have been on more than 30 cruises and 10 cruise lines and this was by far the worst boat and cruise company I’ve ever gone with. Firstly, I walk into the room and I immediately got sick. I will preface this by saying that the boat is older (found out after booking) and I have mold allergies. I walked right to the bathroom and noticed that the shower floor was covered in ...

Save your money ~ don't sail with MSC.

Review for a Cuba Cruise on MSC Armonia

We are one of the people who were affected by the travel ban to Cuba. We had booked a 7 day cruise with MSC for ONLY the reason that they offered a 2-day stop in Cuba. Of course, it wasn't their fault that travel to Cuba was banned 2 weeks before our cruise but while other cruise companies offered full refunds and other great options (like moving your itinerary AND getting 50% off your cruise), ...

Book another cruiseline!

Review for a Cuba Cruise on MSC Armonia

We chose this cruise due to the stopover in Havana, which, although not the fault of MSC, was extremely disappointing. We are from the UK and only received notification of this a few days before we were due to leave. The pathetic $400 OBC no way compensated for the dreadful ports which we replaced Havana. This cruise was priced higher than the regular Islands and Costa Maya and Roatan are both ...

Worst vacation of my life!!

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Norwegian Sky

User Avatar

Everyone talks about how awesome cruises are. On Norwegian I had just the opposite experience. To start I was pleasantly surprised by the quickness of boarding the ship that was awesome. In heading to my room on the 10th floor upon opening the elevator I was startled by the smell of raw sewage. To be honest if I wanted to smell raw sewage I’ll go get a job at the local water treatment plant. ...
