Poor customer service

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Marella Discovery 2

It was our 50th wedding anniversary. We have been on several Marella cruises and find them exceptionally good value. This latest one however was a disaster from the beginning. Embarkation was tedious, worse ever. Our fridge did not work, took three days to fix. Food quality and choice definitely deteriorated compared to previous cruises/ships we have been on. Wondered if due to Marella policy of ...

NOT WHAT WE BOOKED 60% of itinerary was changed , but we were fed excuses not reasons

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Marella Discovery 2

We chose the advertised Itinerary because having been to the Caribbean before this two week package offered visits to Belize, Cosumei, Guatemala and some other places we had not been to before. After a 2hr 50min outward flight delay (reasons offered were dubiously received by passengers) we arrived on board ship and were told immediately that the Cosumei visit on day 6 was abandoned - nothing ...

We are very experienced cruisers aged 67 and 68, this being our 31st cruise, however it was our first with Marella. We picked this cruise for the itinerary and strangely enough the extended port times. We came aboard with limited expectations re food , entertainment, service etc, First of all the stateroom— we had a balcony on deck 7, it was clean, and kept so by the steward. The bed was the most ...

Food was outstanding - "Crew was nice but just don't understand"

Review for a Caribbean - Eastern Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

We have been on over 20 cruises on various lines. We took this because it was the next level up and we wanted to compare it to Oceania. One passenger describe it best when he said about the crew, they are very friending and smile but the just don't understand what you are asking for. Alcohol is included in the price but if you don't drink, the staff does not know what to do with you. I never ...

THE REGENT CRUISE FROM HELL

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Seven Seas Mariner

User Avatar

Regent sells this cruise as luxury, which is deceptive. Most of their ships are old which in this case is the Mariner, which is in disrepair [the Navigator which I sailed on is worse the ac could not be fixed and staterooms in aft bounced from the engine room.] The stateroom was not ready for use. The ac temperature was 74 and there was slow airflow. After four calls throughout the day and being ...

Old ship that needs to redone

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Sensation

I was on the Sensation many many years ago. There was a sale I couldn't pass up. Cost for both my husband and I 377.00 with a 100.00 OBC for an inside room. I did get a call the night before because I am platinum that they had an ocean view no charge for us so I took it. I forgot about the fantasy ship purple and brass. Carnival really needs to do something when they do refurbishments they need ...

DO NOT BOOK THIS CRUISE! We had a family reunion / birthday party on the ship. The ship/cruise line was picked by someone in the family who cruises often and promoted the trip as a "great deal" . Although I was happy that someone else planned the trip, this is the last trip that family member will ever plan for us...#sensationFail. There was "NOTHING GREAT" about this cruise, and Carnival ...

No Lobster at all. Was told they do not serve it any longer Martini at dinner only on the 8th floor. Why would I not be able to get a drink at dinner? Insane No Make up mirror available No shrimp cocktail anywhere. Was told they will not serve it any longer. Unacceptable Wait staff just plain not accommodating to my wants and needs in main dining room. Room floors were worn and ...

Apparently, being from the Northeast, I was unaware of a delightful thing known as a “swarm of love bugs”. They were positively everywhere. Inside, outside, in staterooms and dining rooms. Some even survived for several days. Needless to say, the first day was shockingly bad. I am not sure what could have been done differently, but this was outrageously bad. Key West is a lovely place. ...

Wife and I have been on 10 or 15 NCL cruises and we liked them all except this one. Food was not up to par. The shows were poor. The cruise director was poor but the assistant cruise director was excellent. The piano bars were very good. Cabin was small but OK. Room Stewart was terrible. He never vacuumed the carpet for the entire four day cruise. The waiters were very good. NCL never ...
