Review for a Cuba Cruise on Sirena

3rd Oceania cruise, 2 on the Marina. this is a smaller ship that the Marina, so it had fewer specialty restaurants but this didn't matter that much. What it did lack was any WOW factor. I hope this will improve when the ships are redone. EMBARKATION: arrived at port around 1:00 and probably was on ship by 1:20. We went to lunch which was fine. Rooms weren't ready until after 3 for us, ...

I've been wanting to go on a cruise for a long time but it never worked out. Then I got an offer that was just too good to pass up! I never quite understood why many people I know go on cruise after cruise after cruise, but by my second day I completely got it!! So relaxing and cathartic. The smaller ship and shorter length were perfect for my first time. All the staff was amazing. It seemed ...

Food and staff was great. Ship is a little run down.

Choose the cruise to go to Cuba. The food and staff on the ship was great. The casino and cruise director staff made the trip extremely enjoyable. The entertainment in the main showroom was current and fun. The entertainment at the pool was lacking The Caribbean flair. The ship itself was older and even though it had gone through an upgrade it still appeared slightly run down. Examples; ...

We've been trying other cruise lines to evaluate for future cruising. Norwegian offers a nice variety of excursions. Staff was very accommodating. Ship was very clean, food was good and a decent variety. Specialty dining was nice. We booked specialty dining in LeBistro, Cagney's, and Moderno. LeBistro was our least favorite. It took well over 2 hrs to serve us (party of 2). Cagney's service ...

All-Inclusive is the only way to sail

My wife and I chose this cruise so we could visit Cuba. Frankly, while that visit was interesting and educational, Cuba disappointed. But perhaps for Americans seeking mainly to stock up on cigars and rum they would have a good time. My favorite part was seeing all of the vintage cars driving around. That said, this was our favorite cruise ever. Mainly that was because of the all-inclusive ...

NCL Sky: Drinks and food were SUPERB

I choose particular cruise this bc my fiancee lies to drink and I like to budget. Figured this was the best way to get to see Cuba (on my list) in a balcony room w unlimited drinks (both on her list). Pleasantly surprised since we were both expecting the drinks to be watered down or of poor quality. We expected only the "bottom of the barrel" offerings to be included, as a gimmick to try to ...

Chose this cruise as we wanted to visit Havana. We like smaller ships. Nice mix of ages on this cruise. Embarkation went very smoothly. The Sun was recently refurbished: was fresh and bright. We ate in Seven Seas for dinner every night. Great service and good( not great) food. We had lunch at the buffet a few times, which was adequate. Loved the Sports Bar for meeting friends and watching sports ...

For my birthday this year, we decided on a short (4-night) cruise to Great Stirrup Cay (Bahamas) and Cuba (the privilege of visiting Cuba cost an extra $75 p.p.). This is the first time we're with Norwegian, and I have to say that we were quite pleased overall. While this is an older ship, our cabin on Deck 10 was reasonably comfortable - even if an initial problem with the bathroom needed ...

Better Than Expected Ship, while Havana was Disappointing

We had some credit left from our Irma NCL Escape cancelled trip from a year ago. Used it on the mid September NCL Sun voyage to Cuba. Embarkation and Disembarkation was easy and well run. 20 to 30% vacancy level meant no crowds all week in any lines or venues. Ship is older but the recent refurbishment was well done. Inside and out, the ship felt brand new. I suspect we have done 30 ...

Wonderful Memories

This was our first time sailing with Norwegian. I did have some concerns leading up to the sailing after having read some of the reviews, but I had nothing to worry about. Embarkation and Disembarkation were easy. Consider doing the self-assist disembarakation if you can manage it. Self-assist is the first group off the ship. We were off the ship and cleared immigration in minutes. We had a ...
