I chose a cruise to Cuba on the Norwegian Sky for my 20th wedding anniversary. I lived in Cuba as a kid an wanted to see the portion I never got to see then. This ship is run down and needs a makeover. My biggest problem was with the staff and the food. I called ahead to arrange something special on my anniversary. The day of my anniversary nothing happened. My wife was upset and spent the night ...
My friends and I chose this cruise because one of my friends was having a birthday and had talked often about going to Cuba.
On a positive note, the ship itself - the cabins, bars and lounges, ship layout, and staff were good.
Dining was average. Selection at the buffet for lunch and dinner was not as extensive as other cruise lines I have been on. Breakfast selection was good. Only ate in ...
Long line for embarkation (1 hour wait). Cabin was extremly small compared to other cruise lines. Bread was stale/old...every single time at the restaurants. The quality of the food and variaty was not great. The wait time was long to get your food. On two separate occassions, people that had come after us had been served their meal before us. One of the pools was actualy drained during the ...
The ship is below average to poor. It is old and outdated. The service is fine for the most part except the disembarkation process which was poor and not well coordinated. There are really no spots on the top of the ship to stand and look out. The top is blocked by the wall of glass all the way around. At night they block rear deck area by moving the furniture and chairs away from the edge to ...
We were celebrating our anniversary and we had always wanted to go to Cuba. A cruise seemed to be the easiest way to go. We are both very experienced travelers and we admit to high expectations. We had lowered our expectations for this relatively cheap (or so we thought) option.
Realize that the cruise ship business model is to tease you in the ship with a ridiculously low fare then sell you up ...
It sailed to Cuba. The excursions were amazing. I went to a rum distillery, a cigar making farm, a huge mural on the side of a mountain. The young Cuban tour guide was very knowledgeable and easily approchable.
In the Bahamas I did stand up board and parasailing. I would not recommend the parasailing. The guy, Danzel Rolle, told me to tip him well and I did. In return he was to e-mail me a ...
I have always wanted to go to cuba,it was just as I thought it would be wonderful people lots of history and old cars.ncl over charged for the cruise I signed up and then saw a ad for almost 200 less each, spoke with a supervisor no comps nothing just told me there was zero tolerance for complaining on board.food was mediocre, all the staff but the casino, were not very attentive.very small rooms ...
We had an issue with the temperature of our Cabin being way too hot. We couldn't even stand to take showers and get ready at night as it was too hot. We called to have it fixed and 5-6 hours later nothing had been done. No one seemed to care and the lady that answered our call was rude to us.
Customer Service dropped the ball.
The food was not the greatest. Average to poor I would say. ...
We had the Pegasus suite which was large and wonderful. Very out of date however. The hot tub on the back deck was great, bed very comfortable, ship built in 1991 so it's dated.
The food was HORRENDOUS...how you can screw up a buffet is a mystery but it was lacking in not only quality, but variety. The dining rooms were soso, food ok, portions petite. The private restaurants were great however. ...
Don't listen to any hype on this line. Food is horrible, way too salty. Boat is falling apart, broken drawers, no remote control worked, pool rusty and tiles falling out. NOTHING to do...all guest under the age of 80 hated it and couldn't wait to get off. Sub par shows where entertainers went through the motions. Most staff were good...2 stated to us the were board. No music, no life, no ...
