Meatloaf at the Carving Station

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Norwegian Sky

Nothing says luxury cruise like meatloaf at the carving station. I swear to whatever God you worship, the buffet had meatloaf at the carving station. It was all I could do to contain my laughter until I got to my table after watching the carver slice a quarter inch wide piece of meatloaf and deliver it to my place with the dignity of a British butler. The free dining rooms are fairly empty. ...

If you want to see Cuba, choose another cruise line -- VERY old, broken ship!

I am a seasoned cruiser and have done approx 15 cruises on Carnival and a couple on Celebrity. This was my first NCL cruise. I honestly was just looking for a quick getaway and to see Cuba -- my standards were not that high. Through a series of unfortunate events, I wound up traveling solo, so paid a VERY high rate for a single, inside room. I read the reviews that this was an older ship, and ...

Very disappointing ship

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Norwegian Sky

We took this cruise to see Cuba for the first time. It was very disappointing for the following: Norwegian Sky charges the highest daily service charge, $18.99 per day per person. Yet the services were sub-par. Since the services charge is billed automatically, the staff take the "just doing the job" attitude. For example, in the buffet area, often, one must fetch some staff to clean the dirty ...

Bad Cruise to Cuba

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Celestyal Crystal

Chose this cruise due to price and location. Had a Jr. Balcony Suite. This room had a very poor.. There was a refrigerator in the middle of the closet, thus no room to hang clothes unless they were to lean against the frig. The safe was on the floor had to get down on a knee to use. Then if following the instructions that were with the safe was not the way I was showed how to use the safe. Maybe ...

Worst Cruise I've Ever Taken on NCL

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Norwegian Sky

My family and I are silver latitude members on NCL and we chose this cruise for several reasons 1) we really like NCL 2) because it was the only one going to Cuba and 3) my husband and I were celebrating our 17th wedding anniversary on July 3rd and we always book vacations during that time of the year. Of all the cruises we've taken on NCL this was the worst one. When booking this cruise with an ...

Worst cruise line ever

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Norwegian Sky

I chose to cruise on Norwegian because they were the only cruise line that offered an overnight in Havana. I absolutely loved Havana, however the Norwegian Sky was not what I expected. The food on the ship was terrible both at the buffet and the sit down restaurants. The quality of the food was as poor as some of the buffets you may expect to find at a low end Las Vegas hotel. I was also extremely ...

STAY AWAY FROM THE SKY!!!

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Norwegian Sky

Please share this post with your friends to stay away from The Norwegian Sky and probably all of NCL. There are better cruise lines and ways to travel to Cuba that won't be a health hazard. There is a reason this ship is all inclusive free booze. It's so folks get so drunk they don't notice the stench or care. I was sleeping on the pull out - so I pulled back the mattress and saw that the ...

NCL Cruise to Cuba

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Norwegian Sky

We chose this cruise because it went to Cuba. In retrospect we should have chosen a cruise that was in Cuba longer and gone to more ports. The disembarkation was late by 2 hours and very disorganized. The front desk did not have many answers and the front desk staff was rude. The only information we picked up was the NCL shore excursions had priority over other passengers. This late ...

Failed to deliver most of the itinerary

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Star Flyer

First Time Cruiser • Age 70s

This is a very hard one to score. The vessel is a sailing cruise ship (barquentine) which takes a maximum of 170 guests. It is extremely well-appointed and the crew are enthusiastic and attentive. We would particularly comment on the outstanding food which was served throughout our 7-day cruise. So far, it rates 5 stars. The problem was that it failed to deliver us to several of the ...

Cuba with University Alum

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Le Ponant

We were participants in a university alum travel group. It was appealing to explore Cuba while having a floating hotel. We love cruising and this was our first time on Le Ponant. The staff was outstanding - each was friendly and knew our names in no time. We were disappointed in the food and with the bed in the cabin. The snack food during happy hour was the best food on the trip. ...
