First Time Cruisers Excited About Havana, Cuba

Review for a Cuba Cruise on MSC Armonia

This was our family's first cruise. We chose MSC due to the itinerary. The sailing dates matched nearly perfect with our high school kids spring break, and we were going to be able to visit one of our bucket list destinations, Havana, Cuba. Arriving in Miami around 1:00 pm, embarkation began for us immediately. The bag drop service was very simple and quick. Entering the terminal, things ...

Calling on Havana Cuba was a plus. Ship personnel did a very good job explaining what to expect from Cuba's government authorities when ship arrived in Havana. MSC must concentrate on improving quality of buffet offerings plus dinner menu items. Quantity without quality will not cut it. MSC can turn an average cruise into awesome by focusing on improving the meals. I give the ship high marks ...

I chose this cruise because I wanted something quick, I've never been to Cuba and I wanted to see the newly renovated ship. The ship looked nice, the spa was great, the Stardust looked amazing, and the seats were comfortable but definitely could have used more legroom. The stateroom bathrooms were not touched, and I believe my shower was broken, the water was boiling no matter how I ...

We went with a group of 9 friends/neighbors. This particular cruise was chosen because of its length and because it was one of the few cruise lines that included an overnight stay in Havana. That was the best part of the cruise! We loved Cuba! Every crew member we came in contact with always smiled and greeted us politely except the bartenders. I suspect that because this was an all inclusive ...

Good for the price, but you get what you pay for

MSC in General: We received horrible customer service when booking our cruise, and then within 3 weeks of our sail date they added $27 to our balance (after our total balance had already been paid 5 months prior). We got a letter stating that if we didn't pay the remaining $27 within 48 hours they were going to cancel our cruise. I spent the next 2 days trying to get a supervisor on the phone, ...

Review for a Cuba Cruise on Azamara Journey

We chose this short, six-night Azamara cruise for several reasons: First, although we prefer longer cruises, two weeks or more, we faced some time limitations this trip, including work obligations and also meeting family and friends afterward for some spring training baseball games; second, we had heard some very good reports on Azamara from friends who really enjoyed the casual, small-ship ...

We decided on this cruise as a sudden addition to our bucket list - Havana (Cuba), St Marteen, Antigua, Madera - all in one sweep. Getting through Havana airport was an exceptional experience and one not to be glamorised in any way. We arrived at the ship quite late went through the obligatory photograph, not much in the way of a welcome, collected our cards then straight to our cabin and ...

Went with a big group from my country club development. The pros were that the size of the ship was very manageable and easy to navigate, no lines or waiting for anything. Staff were friendly and helpful and willing to go above and beyond. Had a standard outside stateroom with window that was small but adequate. Best restaurant was Aquilina by a long shot. The spa was decent The cons are a bit ...

Carnival Paradise to Cuba

Review for a Caribbean - Western Cruise on Carnival Paradise

We usually cruise with NCL, but the itinerary during March to Cuba was only available on Carnival ( NCL opened up their itineraries after we booked). The entertainment was OK, the comedian performed for 35 minutes- should have been longer. Breakfast in the dining room was horrible- 2nd day we arrived in the dining room at 9:05 and the food was finally served at 9:55, after I went and asked ...

Husband and I are in our 50s and been on dozens of cruises - from carnival (in my youth) to Crystal. Many family cruises on Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Crystal. We chose this ship because we have been curious about the all inclusive, “exclusive” reputation of this line, we like the size- less than 1000 passengers, and ease of travel to embarkation port was a priority. Had been to most of ...
